I had been using a set of resistance bands for working out and found it cumbersome to keep changing straps and setting up in the door. Once the door hooks are set and you open the door you have to start all over again. I love that with this system you can leave it in place and open and close the door all you want without having to readjust the unit. Exercising is a breeze! A wide variety of exercises is available and the 11 minute work out provided in the video is brutal...be a while until I can have the ability to do that. I also bought this for post back and shoulder surgery and it is perfect for that. Very low impact but still gives a good workout. I lost a lot of muscle mass pre and post surgery and after 3 weeks can feel and notice a difference. The cable action is smooth and easy to hook up attachments to. I have rated this 4 stars rather than 5, because the tie wires weren't there, indicating it may have been a returned item. Also, the two sides seem to have somewhat different degrees of resistance i.e. some unevenness, but I can compensate for that. It happens to be something I very much need for Fibromyalgia and the trigger points or muscle spasms points. Also to build strength in shoulders and arms and areas that Fibromyalgia causes pain and weakness in. I am hoping I can use it to build strength and bone density in wrist and forearm, too. This is our second purchase of this item for our daughters home this time. Works on an interior door, we do add a cloth on the door for the braces just in case they mark the door but it works great and we are very happy!

    • Mismatched resistance band.
Seems well built except for one problem or 2 problems... One of the bands is not equal to the other in terms of resistance. In my case the 25 pound band is weaker than the other. I'm guessing about 15 it 20 pounds which makes using that weight not very proactive. This may bother a lot of people but since I tend to use weights higher than 25 pounds I guess I could live with it....if I return it for another I might get another band that's mismatched that I actually use, judging from other reviewers.... Also, the diagram poster that comes with it claimed you can use the hooks under the pulley to hang from but there are no hooks. Not a big deal since you can just tape it to the door or wall.... Finally, the center built to help stabilize the unit isn't really much help. It's supposed to prevent the top of the unit from pulling away from the door as you pull the bands but it doesn't so you get this knocking sound when you use it, but this can be solved with a soft pad taped to the unit. Probably the kind you use to put under chairs so they don't scrape the floor might work. ... show more
