I paid about $65 for this item, but who knows what it will be priced at later, given inflation. I bought it because I needed budget all-metal saw horses to support a fire-proof table top in a home-shop welding room. This product is thankfully above average in design, engineering and over-all quality for something Made-in-China. It came complete with the two saw horses. I did not give it 5-stars because the bottom of the metal legs are U-shaped and, in soft ground and under a heavy load, might sink in to some degree. These are solidly built, which makes them a bit heavy but I like them and would buy again. Two downsides I noticed: 1. The top surface of the sawhorse is not a padded material but a high friction tape typically found on the edge of steps to prevent people from slipping. Unfortunately, it's very abrasive and will mar the surface of any materials working on; 2. The design of the feet allows the sawhorse to unexpectedly slide on the garage floor (made me wonder if model with the non-skid feet built in might be a better choice). ... show more

You get a solid working base for your projects with two of these multipurpose ToughBuilt sawhorses. They can be used as standalone support for projects like sanding and shellacking walking sticks – that need support only on the ends but an open middle space. The sawhorses can also be covered with a flat surface – like a piece of plywood – to create a working space bigger than a portable workbench. The lightweight, compact and collapsible design is this product’s best feature, but it does have limitations. When the slot-in-place-legs are extended, the metal ends are exposed. You’ll need to lay a drop cloth to protect the ends from marking the floor or sinking into the ground. The lack of protective end caps cancels out the convenience of this efficient design. It’s perfect for work on concrete and other nonporous surfaces. I ended up buying plastic, accordion-style sawhorses (that fold flat vertically vs this tucked-in horizontal design) to give me more options. Like hammers or screwdrivers, my feeling on sawhorses is that you can never have too many. If you invest in this design, backstop it with another option to give you flexibility depending on your work environment. ... show more
