Description

The heavy-duty JawHorse eliminates the need to call over a neighbor just to help you hold a project. Keep your hands free to use your tools instead of using them to brace your work. And raise your project off of the floor and up to a comfortable working height. The JawHorse is really a 3-in-1 as it has workbench, vice, and machine press functionality. It’s strong enough to handle metal bending or straightening, made of solid steel with 10x the clamping force of a standard vice, and boasts the industrial pressing power of a one-ton machine press. It’s 43 lbs, which is substantial, but it needs to be to support 600 lbs projects with 1 ton of clamping pressure. Though it’s designed with a whole host of features to make it easy to use. The rear leg doubles as a handle, and the front legs have unlockable wheels, so you can raise the back and push it around the job site like a wheelbarrow. Plus, the foot pedal does much of the clamping work for you, leaving your hands truly free. It’s 33” x 15.5” x 15” when standing.. The JawHorse allows for delicate work like fine-tuning a bike as well as for heavy-duty clamping projects (view larger). The JawHorse's foot pedal lever creates clamping force while keeping your hands free (view larger). Rockwell’s RK9003 JawHorse material support and saw horse is a convenient, portable workstation that provides hands-free operation for holding, clamping, and supporting work materials for DIY and professional projects alike. The foot pedal lever creates up to 2,200 pounds of clamping force, and with a maximum load capacity of 600 pounds, the JawHorse is ideal for projects such as hanging doors, placing new sheetrock overhead, setting fence posts, installing crown moldings, and more.Functional Design Makes Tasks EasierJobs that normally require two people to complete can be easily handled by one person with help from the JawHorse and its more than one ton of clamping force. The tripod base with food pads increases the JawHorse’s stability. The JawHorse can replace any number of items in your workshop arsenal, including workbenches, sawhorses, bench vises, clamps, and more.Built for Stability and StrengthEven though this 43-pound JawHorse features all-steel construction, its legs fold easily for storage and transport. When folded, it functions as a trolley unit ready to roll to the next job site—and once you get there, setup is simple and done in seconds. But its versatile design doesn’t compromise on stability. The front feet feature stirrups that allow for additional steadiness and provide the ability to anchor the JawHorse to the floor.Ultimate in Workstation VersatilityThanks to a maximum clamping range of 37 inches and a maximum clamping force of 2,200 pounds, the JawHorse is capable of holding many different sizes of materials, including items that are oddly shaped. The jaws themselves are constructed of a specialized rubber to avoid marring the materials. Alternate between asserting massive clamping pressure on heavy-duty items and the bare minimum on extremely delicate materials without fear of causing damage. Clamp lumber to saw, cut, sand, scrape, or glue—or hold up your bike for fine-tuning. Innumerable applications are further expanded by accessories (sold separately) such as plywood, log, or welding jaws; a saddlebag; and a tool tray. What's in the BoxOne Rockwell RK9003 JawHorse material support and saw horse.HighlightsProvides portable work support and hands-free operationSets up in seconds and features built-in roller for easy transportationAll-steel construction for utmost in durability and strength Accessories available (sold separately) for additional applicationsBacked by a five-year limited warranty Create a convenient and portable workspace anywhere you need one with the JawHorse (view larger).

  • It's amazing!
Style: Jawhorse Work Support
Just buy it! It's great to have and has an endless amount of uses! Very sturdy, good quality, and it packs up nice and small for easy storage!

  • Best tool ever!
Style: Jawhorse Work Support
Need a second hand? This will be your new go to portable vise. I use this often with 3in to 6 in Schedule 40/ Schedule 80 pipe and plumbing fittings (and Control valves like Banjo) requiring large amounts of torque with a 36-48 in pipe wrench. This holds everything absolutely rock solid. Quick and easy to set up & light weight enough to be easily portable to any job site. The working height is perfect. This tool paid for itself it the first day of use! Saving me precious time and restoring countless expensive control valves to use again, that without, I would have probably tossed over 1k of valves in the garbage. ... show more

  • Rockwell JawHorse is your friend!
Style: Jawhorse Work Support
I am using this tool for 2 years now, and every time I use it I can't express how glad I feel that I bought it! Having the tool is like having a pair of strong helping hands. And its jaw can open widely enough to hold any item in my woodworking projects I've done so far. The tool is very sturdy (that is why it is heavy!), convenient and very reliable. Five stars! ... show more

  • Really helpful addition to my workshop
Style: Jawhorse Work Support
I bought this primarily to use in woodworking, and I don't know how I got along without it. It's a very solid tool. After using it for a while, here are my thoughts: PROS: It's really well built! Very solid. It holds my woodworking pieces rock steady. It's pretty simple, quick and easy to set up or put away and simple to use. It feels like it should last a long time. The 3-point stance makes it easy to use on uneven ground. CONS: It's heavy! That goes with the "solid" part; it just means it's a little tough to move around. The roller on the end helps when I'm moving it in the garage, but I don't use it on the driveway, as it's too rough. Also, when using the leg to pull it around on the roller, it's hard to get the leg clamped tightly enough that it doesn't move around. I wish there was a small handle on the end to use when rolling it (instead of having to reposition and try to tighten down the leg.) The major complain I have is about the pads in the vise. They are compressible, which makes sense so they can conform a bit to objects and hold without scratching. The problem is that when I lock down a piece of wood the pads compress enough that the screws holding them in place come in contact with the wood! This leaves pretty deep impressions in the wood. Since discovering that, I've been using small wood pieces between my project wood and the clamps, which solved the problem. I just wish they had designed the clamps so they wouldn't damage my wood when I clamp it down. Be aware! All in all I'd buy this again. They just need to fix the clamp issue and the design for using the roller. ... show more

  • Great product but had one somewhat annoying issue
Style: Jawhorse Work Support
The JawHorse came quickly and was packed well in the box -- no visible damage. I opened it up, read the directions but when I first tried it out, the JawHorse would not lock. No matter what I did, it would not lock. Shipping this "puppy" back would be a big hassle so I took the face plate off that holds the lock button and the button fell out -- it was not connected to anything. I saw two holes in the back of the button so I figured something had to be connected to it. When I looked inside with a flashlight, I saw the connecting prongs (thin spring loaded metal prongs) and saw they they were to be inserted in the holes from the inside out -- the spring pushing them out and holding them in place (if you have this problem you will see what I mean). I squeezed the prongs together, inserted them in the holes, reinstalled the button and faceplate and it worked like it was intended to work. I gave a four star rating because of this problem -- the unit itself is fine and works well. However, if someone purchased this unit, had the same problem, and was a bit timid about taking the faceplate off (maybe void the warranty?) it would be an giant hassle to repack and ship it back. Also, since these "prongs" were spring loaded and pushing out (you had to pinch the spring together to insert it), there is absolutely no way they could have vibrated out during shipping. In my opinion, this was definitely a quality control problem -- the unit could not have been tested to see that it worked after being manufactured. The bottom line is I am happy with the unit thus far -- it is very sturdy and works fine. However, if you find that your lock/unlock button is not working at all or not working properly, take the face plate off and check to see that both "prongs" are inserted properly. Since they are spring loaded, they are spread far apart and it took a hard second look to find the second prong (there were two holes in the button so I figured there were two). Rockwell is a good brand name but I "dinged" them a star because the customer should not have to troubleshoot their products right out of the box. ... show more
