Description

The heavy-duty JawHorse eliminates the need to call over a neighbor just to help you hold a project. Keep your hands free to use your tools instead of using them to brace your work. And raise your project off of the floor and up to a comfortable working height. The JawHorse is really a 3-in-1 as it has workbench, vice, and machine press functionality. It’s strong enough to handle metal bending or straightening, made of solid steel with 10x the clamping force of a standard vice, and boasts the industrial pressing power of a one- ton machine press. It’s 43 lbs, which is substantial, but it needs to be to support 600 lbs projects with 1 ton of clamping pressure. Though it’s designed with a whole host of features to make it easy to use. The rear leg doubles as a handle, and the front legs have unlockable wheels, so you can raise the back and push it around the job site like a wheelbarrow. Plus, the foot pedal does much of the clamping work for you, leaving your hands truly free. It’s 33” x 15.5” x 15” when standing. And it’s backed by a hefty 5-year Rockwell limited warranty because they’re confident in the performance of their tools.

    • What an incredible product
I work alone in my shop for 5-6 hours per day, just as a hobby. There are so many times that an extra hand would be very helpful, but in my case no one else is around. The jawhorse is a great substitute, and holds the work at the perfect height, and securely, so I can enjoy my hobby more. I would definitely put this in the "must have" category for most shop or woodworkers. They also got the operation of the jaw designed such that you can lock it in or unlock it with any level of pressure, to match the needs of the moment. This jaw horse is a really great product. It is strong, sturdy and very functional. The design is very well thought out. Once you learn how to use it, set up and take down are a breeze. It has been invaluable helping me complete many DIY projects around the house. The weight is a bit hefty, but that's what's needed to lock in the variety of objects it can securely hold - especially heavier things. This thing is awesome. It’s a heavy duty vise that can move to the project, instead of you traveling back and forth to your bench vise. I don’t have a work bench, so never had a good place to keep the vise I’ve always wanted. It collapses down very easy when I don’t need it and it’s just as easy to set up for when I do need it. Anything I clamp down in the jawhorse feels just as sturdy as if it were clamped down in a bolted down bench vise.     • It really works and it's high quality
I have been very pleased with this tool. I do wood carving, sometimes large and unwieldy shapes. The JawHorse is perfect. It really super clamps just about everything. Very easy to set up and operate. The quality is well worth the money. One small complaint is that the roller wheel to move it around is pretty useless. It's too small in diameter, it's very wobbly under the heavy weight of this machine. I often work outdoors on uneven ground and wheeling it around is just undoable. So I have to collapse it and move by lifting, which is not easy since it IS heavy and has an unwieldy shape. Kind of a two person job to move it without banging your chins or scraping your hands. It would be a simple matter to just put two good quality 3 or 4 inch rubber wheels on the upper frame. Widen the axle to prevent the wobbling. ... show more

    • I don't know how I lived without this.
This is an amazing tool that is so useful for working on anything you need to clamp and hold at sawhorse height. It is superbly designed and well constructed and I can't really find anything wrong with it. You have to be careful not to use too much force as you can crush more fragile items. But it is a very snug hold and surprisingly stable for the size. It is quick and easy to clamp and lock and then to unlock and unclamp. I've seen several people on here complain that the screw clamp that holds the rear leg is not adequate - they are probably using it completely wrong. That is a secondary hold just to keep the leg from sliding in and out of it's retaining slot. The slot does the holding and when weight is on the leg it doesn't even matter if that screw clamp is loose. You loosen that merely pull the leg out of its slot and fold it up into its stowing slot. ... show more
