Very happy with this washlet, which replaces an old Toto washlet. The old washlet had a tank, which had to be maintained. This new version is tankless for warm water on demand. Many bells and whistles.

Installation was easy enough except the inserts that the bolt goes into don't stay in. Can't really tighten up the bolts without pulling them right out of the holes. It stays pretty clean with the feature that sprays the sides of the bowl with water before you go. The sensor for the remote is real finicky, I have to hold it above my shoulder to get it to register at all. But it is *functional*. The real issue I have with the device is the seat pressure sensor. It locks down all the functionalities unless you're seated. The only issue with that is that to actually get it to register properly, you have to lean all the way to the right which in my case against the wall. Even barring that it's extremely weird and uncomfortable and keeps clicking on and off if I shift around even a little bit. And then obviously you need to be in a position for the bidet to actually hit you in the right spot. So I'm here, putting all my weight to the right, lifting the remote over my shoulder already. But now for the final step, actually using the bidet and getting hit by the stream. Even at the farthest back setting, I have to move forward so much that there's really no space between my bits and the seat which is pretty gross. But that's still not enough. I then have to let myself fall in a little bit as well because the angle is so horrid. So you can imagine it's not very comfortable. I tried contacting support but there's a bit of a language barrier, they keep talking about adjusting the water pressure when all I really want to know is if it's possible to disable the seat pressure sensor requirement. TLDR: It's very clean but functionality is finicky at best due to poor design decisions. Idk what problems they were trying to solve. Would not recommend. ... show more

I have put a ton of time and research into bidets. I installed my first one back in 2021 and I still love it. It is an S500e and when I compare this K56 model, I am comparing it to the four year old S500e. Toto remains the best. But in a few respects, the older model is better than this new model (see below). First the most important great aspects. This bidet really does everything you need/want. It has a heated seat. Even those people that do not want the washing / drying features when they use a toilet absolutely love the heated seat. And I mean everyone. This model has three temperature settings for the seat. The S500e has 5 settings. Frankly, it is not a bid deal, but for those who really care about exact temperature, there is also the current S7 model that has 5 temp levels. It heats the water instantly for all washing. That's really, really important. Some other manufacturers use regular cold water and frankly that is not acceptable. As with the seat, this model only has 3 temp settings for the water. My S500e has 5. This one is a slightly bigger deal, but not by much and not worth taking a star off. It washes both the back end and has a front end wash (ladies only). With both, you have 5 pressure settings plus 5 settings for the wand position (so you can get to the exact right spot). The want itself moves in and out for this instead of changing the angle of the spray like some others (which is less good). Both the old and new models do this. Like the old model, this one also has an oscillating feature for the spray, as well as a pulsating feature (switching between strong and soft sprays). Oscillating is much more useful for a broader coverage of the spray without having to keep changing the wand position. The air dryer only has 3 temp settings instead of 5 like on the S500e. This bothers me the most and contributed to the loss of 1 star. But the biggest issue is how cheap the 'new' remote is compared to the older model. The wall mounted image is the S500e remote. It is sleek, it includes a 'cheat sheet' and is much easier to change settings with. On the rear, you can see a digital display to make it super-easy to change every detail from temperature to pressure, to energy savings on when the seat is heated) to deodorizing, to when the light comes on and the misting spray is engaged. The new remote requires using the instructions to hit combinations of buttons and wait for beeps to know that a setting was changed. The new remote is HUGE and ugly compared to the old remote. The new remote has buttons that do NOTHING (see the instructions page I photographed). The new remote is a real disappointment and for a bidet that costs this much money should never have gotten so lousy. ... show more
