We have WICKED rain squalls in NYC that come up with no warning. The wind is sudden and tough and the rain pummels you. This umbrella is the perfect size to fit in a purse or in a jacket pocket. However, the quality is not what it used to be. I had this umbrella for maybe a couple of months when one of the stays broke. The umbrella still works, but I have to fold that section closed or open (it doesn't do either on its own).
