This is a high quality umbrella. Sturdy for sure. As a result, the umbrella is heavy, the handle will trigger a good grip, it’s pretty sizable. It’s not the kind of umbrella you can carry in your small or medium crossbody bag. If you have a medium sized tote (eg medium Portland leather tote) it will take a good amount of your bag’s space. With that, this is way better than a travel umbrella with a flimsy spine where you hold it for dear life hoping it won’t flip on you . This isn’t a travel umbrella, it’s an everyday umbrella. Strong, solid umbrella! Ironically, it rained the day after it arrived. The mechanism to open the umbrella is solid, and this beautiful umbrella did not blow out of shape in spite of the wind. It takes a bit of force to close it, which I like. It’s a solid connector. I am back to buy another one! Even though mine has flowers, they won’t stop my boys from taking it, so they need their own! ... show more

I really like this umbrella — it’s well designed and very convenient to use. The vents in the canopy that prevent the wind from turning it inside out work great and are extremely helpful in windy conditions. Unfortunately, after about 5 uses, a part that holds one of the ribs broke. Because of this, the umbrella is now bent in that spot. This was disappointing, especially since I otherwise really like the umbrella. For comparison, I own another umbrella from the same brand that I’ve been using for over 5 years. It’s not automatic, but it’s still in great condition and has the same vented design, which I find very practical and effective. It’s a shame that this umbrella broke so quickly. I’ll try contacting the seller to see if there’s any solution, because the overall design and idea of the umbrella are excellent. ... show more

I like it and it seems like a quality product. I haven't been in super windy weather with it yet to test that out. It is bigger around when it's closed because of the extra layer of material compared to the standard version of the same umbrella (which seems obvious, but I didn't think of it until after I bought it). ... show more

This is a great heavy-duty umbrella. I'm so happy that I ordered it. Push the button and it opens, push the button and it closes. Wonderful. It is compact when closed, but it opens up to a full size. Highly recommend!
