  • Not very flexible.
Not very flexible. Less prone to kinking (with thick vinyl walls) than the poly stuff sold in hardware stores marketed for sprinkler systems. However, it still is VERY rigid and unwilling to bend. My local hydroponics shop started to carry some extremely flexible 1/2" tubing. I wish I knew where they sourced it from, but they sell it at a fair price, so I'm not going to bother searching. My needs are met. However, if you are looking for truly flexible black half inch for hydroponics use, I recommend that you keep looking. This is not it, and there is better, I just don't know where. ... show more

  • Not for standard irrigation applications
Make sure to read all the One-star reviews.... as I should have. This material is too soft/malleable to use for tapping in 1/4" tubing using barbed fittings. Even though the description says: "Use as the mainline in a small Drip irrigation system or to branch off from larger 1/2" Drip tubing to the micro-watering system...Compatible with most brands of 1/4" Barbed Fittings, Spot Watering Emitters, Micro-Bubblers, Misters and Sprays." (ALL FALSE) I'm returning this falsely described garbage...although it probably works great as a solid hose/line. ... show more

  • Comes stiff, stays stiff, unless....
Very stiff, barely can be called flexible. Cut sections will keep their curvature. So stiff that it's difficult to work with in cool or room temperature conditions. Frustrated with it, I finally brought out the heat gun and warmed it up to straighten it out, which worked for a few minutes, but the tube kept its memory and returned to a slightly less curly state. The stiffness also interferes with adding 1/4" irrigation tubing. The holes for the connectors don't heal quickly, so there's significant leakage until they seat. My application was for about twenty sections from 18" to 40". I would not purchase this again unless desperate. ... show more

  • Quality Tubing
This tubing is perfect for replacing fountain tubing that had been spliced together in an old fountain. Rigid enough to feed through three sections of concrete fountain yet supple enough for flexible bends to the pump. All this with no resistance for maximum water flow. The local big box store wanted over a dollar a foot, so this is a great buy and a well made product. ... show more

  • Decent, flexible tubing for pond features.
Tubing was quite flexible. I'm using it for two waterfall features in my pond and replaced some tubing on a wall fountain and the tubing was the correct size and seems to be doing it's job. I read a lot of reviews and was hesitant buying this because people were saying that the tubing wasn't flexible. The tubing I got wasn't difficult to work with and there weren't any leaks, so I'm glad I got this. I would buy again and recommend. Though, if you're looking for hard tubing, this isn't it. ... show more

  • Strong and great quality...
The media could not be loaded. This tube is of great quality, a bit stiff but I didn’t have any issues with straightening it up for the way I used it. I used it as the main line for my garden irrigation system.

  • Not for drip irrigation! But a good hose
*** Update. I’m going to change my rating to middle. It’s still horrible if you plan to use rain bird drip irrigation with it. But it’s a pretty good hose. Resists kinks, soft, flexible. *** Well I picked it up to extend my rain bird drip irrigation system. It is very soft and flexible, and maybe that’s why of the 12 drip heads I installed, every one leaked. Not drips, a spray. In the sellers defense, it does not say for drip irrigation. But a previous reviewer did and loved it. So exercise caution before you buy. If I needed a soft hose, I would but it. ... show more

  • Sooooo much better than the kind in the store!!
I am using this for my hydroponics set up. Let me just say - this stuff is WAY better than what I can get in the local stores. I bought this first. It was easy to cut with scissors, it was easy to work with and it fit perfectly on a 1/2 inch pond pump. It fit nice and snug on the pump connector. So when I wanted to expand my system, I happened to be at the local store and just bought some there. The stuff I bought there was hard to cut, very stiff and hard to uncurl, bends easily and doesnt fit at all on the 1/2 inch pump. The inside of it is too big for the 1/2 inch and too small for the 3/4 inch. I am totally sold on this product. I will never buy another kind again! So much easier to work with! ... show more
