  • AMAZING VALUE AND GREAT SOUND
Style: Straight-Through Design Configuration: 18 Inch Muffler Body
Just for context, I’m an engineer who’s worked in the automotive industry supporting the manufacturing of exhaust components for 10+ years. Not that this gives me any credibility with the subjective sound aspect, but I can speak to the craftsmanship. First off, the quality is an amazing value. It has similar material and quality as other more expensive brands I’ve purchased. The tubes are mandrel bent, it’s robotically welded and the finish is good with exception of some minor weld spatter. It’s a flow through muffler so there should be some small power gains vs. the restrictive stock muffler (you can see through it if you look inside with a flashlight). The included clamps appear to be aluminized steel with zinc plated steel fasteners. They’ll likely corrode a little, but it’s the same as OE. I purchased this because the description and reviews indicated it should have a mild, deep tone without a lot of the drone that other aftermarket muffler options have. I was debating between this and the MBRP XP muffler. They appeared to be nearly identical, but TOTALFLOW is less than half the price. I had the fit-up issues others described. The main issue is the total length is about 1/2” short. To get the original exhaust tip placement you have to partially insert the mating tubes. Then the tubes don’t go the full depth of the torca slots, creating a leak path. Expecting the length to be short, I ordered a 3” stainless steel lap joint clamp so the muffler could be slid back. The lap joint ensure you still have good engagement and a secure connection. Unfortunately, the clamp doesn’t cover the full length of the torca slots, so I butted the supplied band clamp up to the lap joint clamp. These combined cover the entire torca slot and securely attach to the 3” exhaust pipe. I also took the extra precaution of using a generous amount of Permatex Ultra Copper in the joints and under the clamps to ensure all leak paths are sealed. It’s frustrating waiting a day for the sealant to cure before you can test the new muffler out, but definitely worth it to ensure there’s not exhaust leaks. I did the instal by myself. With the added steps I described the whole job took about 2 hours. It would probably be less than an hour with a helper. As for the sound, it’s a little louder than I expected. It sounds good though... Nice and deep like I wanted. Minor amount of drone inside the cabin, but not obnoxious like some other systems. • Easy to install/great sound
Style: Stainless Steel Configuration: 2-Chamber Muffler
Put it on my '17 Ram. Sounds like a Hemi now! Not to obnoxious. Great low throaty sound! Very satisfied 👍

  • Would buy again hands down.
Style: Single Chamber Design Configuration: Stainless Steel
The media could not be loaded. Installed on a 2014 Ram 1500 regular cab with 5.7l Hemi 4x4. Easy to install. Hardest part was pulling the tail pipes out of the rubber hangers. Fit with no modification. Sounds great. Enough rumble to sound like a truck and not a car. I left my stock resonators on and sounds great. Can still talk in the cab without a problem. No power loss. If your looking for a great sound but not annoying loud and not wanting to buy a whole kit that replaces all your tail pipes and spend $300+ this is the way to go. It's cheap, built great and just enough deep tone that you know your driving a truck without sacrificing cab comfort. ... show more

  • Good sound and killer price!
Style: Straight-Through Design Configuration: 14 Inch Muffler Body
The media could not be loaded. First off....if you're on a tight budget and want a good sounding exhaust and can't spend $200+ on a muffler or $600+ on a catback system or muffler/tailpipes from a big name company, Totalflow is definitely the way to go. Just watch the prices on Amazon, they go up and down.... I went with the 14 inch straight through direct fit. EASY to install. Removal of what was installed was a pain, but it was a cheezy aftermarket muffler that I had a shop in Florida install for me, and the idiots welded it in. It took some time and patience, but I got it out. The muffler itself, it's not a piece of artwork but lets face it....if you want art that NOBODY is ever gonna see, then spend the money for a top end part. Otherwise, save some cash and get one of these and install it yourself. Packaging.....VERY unsatisfactory. Box was open and had half a piece of tape on it and two cheezy bands that were barely keeping it together. Luckily the muffler itself was NOT damaged in any way, but the 3 inch clamp for the inlet pipe was gone. Totalflow failed on that one....C'MON GUYS, YOU CAN DO BETTER! It's not that hard to package a muffler. No worries, I didn't use the other two clamps either. I doubled up on 3 inch and 2.5 inch u-bolt muffler clamps from the auto parts store. I also bought a 2.5 inch ID pipe extension, 18 inch length. I cut two pieces and split them along the seam and used them as slip on covers for the tail pipe connections. Because of this, MY tail pipes ended up flush with the rear bumper and not sunk in 3/4 of an inch like everyone elses reviews mention. Next....one of the isolator mount pegs DOES NOT line up with the isolator. Everyone seems to make a stink about it, but there's plenty of other mounts and supports and this shouldn't be an issue. I pulled the isolator off the truck and left the peg on the muffler. No big deal, but it HAS been mentioned in many reviews so Totalflow SHOULD be working on that. Just sayin. I edited my photos to point out everything I'm talking about. Muffler looks good installed, sounds REALLY good. Yes, there's drone in ECO mode and it's worse at some speeds and not as bad at other speeds. Barely noticeable with cruise control on at 65mph to/from work. Idle rumble sounds good and mean, but not overly aggressive and definitely a strong sound when you stick your foot in it and get that HEMI breathin. The best part, it's not super dooshbag loud like those insecure guys and their Mustangs. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the muffler. I was behind another Ram the other night and he had a Borla sticker on his bumper.....and I laughed because MY truck sounded just as good as his and I know he spent 10x more than I did. • Sounds amazing-true direct fit-simple install-high quality!
Style: Single Chamber Design Configuration: Stainless Steel
Arrived in perfect condition, looks great, extremely simple to install and everything lines up perfectly with no hassle. Total Flow did a perfect job designing and fabricating a true direct fit system for Ram Trucks. The exhaust sound is really deep and sounds a lot like a FM Super44 which I had on my 03 Ram. Sounds great at startup, great at idle, and aggressive with zero raspiness under throttle. Drone is there at 70 mph+ but just in the background- not at all annoying. If you're even looking at this exhaust in the first place then you should already know it's gonna be way cooler than the stock POS exhaust. It'll make you love your truck and put a smile on your face every time you drive. You can even roll in late at night and not completely annoy your neighbors (if you want to annoy them trust me you still can). A friend with a Ram Rebel recommended Total Flow to me- I would recommend Total Flow in a heartbeat to anyone else. My neighbor just bought a Ram and I already have him looking at them too. The single best upgrade you can make to a Ram! ... show more
