I didn’t expect massive temp drops from a couple layers of this tape but so far it hasn’t melted, discolored, or unraveled itself! And it definitely makes the engine bay pop a little more!

It's more like a vintage gold then a bright gold. Also will not flex like how you think it will the parts have to be removed before you can install the tape. I attempted to install on my air intake from Jim Wolff tech and it came out ok but got tired of seeing the imperfects on the down tube. Used this to wrap the notoriously heat soaked start on my LS2. Tape adhered surprisingly well and was easy to manipulate. I couldn't say for sure if its properly dissipating heat, or if the aftermarket motor is just very strong, but I never have any slow start-ups anymore in the Arizona summers.

I put this on my air intake tube. I wiped it down with rubbing alcohol just like the manufacturer suggested. The tape stuck to the tube very well. Yes it does have creases and and small gaps in some spots, but what doesn't when things bend and have protrusions on it. I'm not sure how much of the heat it is blocking yet. This tape is functional and adds pop under the hood. Careful not to wrap the ends where your hose clamps would go as when temperatures rise, the adhesive will melt and act as a lubricant. It may seem obvious but I forgot and had my intake slip off twice. It will protect from heat though so it does as it advertises. ... show more
