Description
TotalBoat Aluminum Boat Paint boasts a completely updated formula for finishes that stick and hold up better than what you've been using on aluminum and galvanized metal boats. This marine paint is specifically made for aluminum hulls on your jon boat, duck boat, flat bottom boat, bass boat, canoe, dinghy, pontoon boat, trailers, houseboat, and other galvanized metal boats or boat parts, like railings and spars. It also comes in camo colors you can apply one layer at a time or mix together for custom camouflage patterns. Protect and conceal duck and hunting blinds, tree stands, ladders, ATVs, boat trailers, and more. Etch washing aluminum before painting removes surface oxidation and improves paint adhesion, but this paint does not require any kind of primer to stick. Updated formula means it adheres better to clean metal. No more finish peeling or lifting. Use a brush, roller, or spray gun to easily apply this water-based polyurethane to prepared substrates. You'll also finish faster because Aluminum Boat paint dries extremely fast. At 72 degrees F, it's ready to overcoat, with no sanding between coats. Before the final coat, wait 12 hours, sand lightly and remove residue. Let the final coat dry for 48 hours, and you're ready to put the boat in the water. Chromate-free finish has a low VOC content of 75 g/L, very little odor, and cleans up easily with soap and water. TotalBoat Aluminum Boat Paint can be used above or below the waterline on boats used in fresh or saltwater. Keep in mind that it does not prevent barnacles and weeds from clinging to your boat bottom. For protection, use TotalBoat AlumiPaint AF antifouling paint for aluminum boats.
