Microwave function works great. Outside of oven gets very, very hot when use convection oven. Directions for air fry function are confusing and seem to be basically same as convection cooking.

I needed to replace a dead microwave and thought this might come in handy for other things as well. Love it! My favorite feature is that I can shut off the beeping - Fantastic!! The microwave functions like any normal microwave & heats everything up very quickly. It's quieter than my old microwave. I've used the oven feature and it works great too. (Really looking forward to using this during the holidays as an extra oven for cooking holiday meals.) I can see this being a great appliance for apartments or if you're moving into a place that doesn't have much space. I'll be recommending this to my son when he moves out. :) I gave 3 stars for user interface because the keypad is not backlit & it's hard to see the buttons and also because the user guide is a little confusing. I am loving this new combo, microwave, air fryer, convection oven that I purchase. It works extremely well in every aspect. The only thing is you do have to adjust the times you’re used to for certain things but overall that’s pretty easy to do. Extremely durable and easy to clean after each cooking.     • Good microwave but air fryer hard to use

As a microwave I like it, but the other functions are difficult to use. I've never had an air fryer or convention oven so I was looking forward to using this. First thing I noticed is how big it is. Because it is a convention oven/air fryer it takes up a lot of space and needs air flow behind it. It works in microwave just as you would expect but none of the buttons are backlit and are dark colored on black background which makes things difficult to read. The convection oven part works ok and cooks well, just pick your temperature preheat and cook. The air fryer function is very frustrating! There are codes for what you want to air fry but it doesn't say what they do. The instruction booklet is awful! It is very vague when talking about the air fryer function. It doesn't tell you anywhere what the codes are so you never know what code setting to use for what food. I was able to get it to air fry some things by trial and error but got so frustrated trying to guess that I just went out and bought a separate air fryer. When in air fryer or convection mode the outside gets very hot! My cat jumped on top during cooking and hurt his paws. Because of all the problems I only use this as a microwave. I would not recommend buying this, it was a waste of money for me and if I knew then what I know now I would have just bought a standard microwave. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The microwave function works but, causes the exterior cabinet to vibrate noisily. Don't know if this may have been caused during shipping by damage to some internal support bracket, ect. I only needed this combo microwaves to replace my old microwave & air fryer, wanting to free up counter space. But the air fryer function is too weak compared to actual air fryer, taking 2 to 3 times longer to cook and the food is still not as crisp! Toshiba included a air fry cook book and every recipe uses the convection function! Also, the user manual under air fryer says first select a menu number off of a chart listing 10 selected foods listed H1-H10, each with an approximate weight. No explaination given as to why or what difference this makes! Is this using the sensor function? What if you have an item not listed or a different weight. After using, cleanup is harder than a stand alone air fryer. I'm returning this and buying stand alone units! ... show more

I bought this for my cabin and needed something to save space and do everything. This is a great product. The air fryer does not make it as crispy as our old fryer, but I think we just need to adjust the time. Second, I keep the manual near the product so I know all of the "cheat" codes. I wish they had a label on the side of it to help. But, overall this is a nice. It is heavy and does need space. Make sure you have room behind it and above it for the heat. That is my major concern. I bought this microwave after the button latching mechanism broke on my last one. It fits perfectly in the cubbyhole it's installed in. It has multiple features besides microwave, such as air fryer, convection, and a combo convection and microwave feature. The controls are very intuitive. This might seem minor until you try to buy one, but the best feature is the door has a handle instead of a cheap plastic button latching mechanism! (Try trying to figure out how to open the door if the button mechanism breaks) ... show more
