The title says renewed, but the drive is on its last life. Use a disk utility and you'll see how often it was turned on, how many hours it lived in a disk array. The one i got was beyond five years, which is the average life of most drives. Mine is going into another raid array, but for the price, I should of just bought new. ... show more

As this was refurbished unit, I've used them in the past but this one crapped out after 2 hours and had to return it.

    • A heavily pre-used hard disk, but it works.
If you expect this as a nearly-new factory refurbished product, I recommend thinking carefully before purchasing. The SMART test on the disk I purchased reported over 80,000 hours of usage. That’s about 10 years of continuous operation. Given that the power cycle count was only three, it’s likely this drive was used in a long-term recording setup, such as a CCTV system. Additionally, compared to my other hard drives, this one is noticeably louder. It is loud enough to feel unsuitable for use in a quiet home NAS environment. It’s been two weeks since I started using it, and fortunately, it has been working well so far without any major issues. ... show more

Drive from 2018 and the run time to match. Smart data showed a lot of use. Not worth much for a drive soon to fail. Do jot buy. These should be recycled not refurbished!!!

This drives data connector was smashed before it was placed in the static bag and sealed! There was no broken pieces in the sealed bag, BEWARE!
