I previously had the Torras slim fit case, which is great as well. That one adds very little bulk and keeps the phone nice and light. The slim fit was also made of hard, rubberized plastic for a more sleek, smooth feel. This case is different, but it's hard to say which is better. One of my favorite parts about this case is that it has raised lips around the phone. This protects both the phone screen AND the tempered glass screen protector I have on top. With the slim fit case, my screen protector was actually higher up than the case, so if I did happen to drop my phone right on the face, the screen protector would likely shatter. That's just the nature of being extra slim, and I suppose my screen protector being a little thick. Not a knock against the slim fit case, but definitely a pro for this shockproof case. This case is also made of a more rubbery material so it's a little more grippy, but might be more prone to dust (haven't tested this yet though). Also, the back is slightly transparent, which I'm not used to, but not a con at all. All the other cases I've purchased have an opaque back, so this is new. Overall, this case is not super slim, but also doesn't add a ton of bulk. It feels really solid and well-built and the buttons are nice and responsive. I would definitely buy again, but if you want something super slim, this may not be the case for you. ... show more

I just received two of these Torras cases for newly acquired iPhone SEs for my wife and for me. They are certainly easy to install. I bought the black case and a red case for my wife so we can quickly see which phone is which. I'm not sure why the red one was three dollars more and did not include the "customize" buttons that were included with the black case. While the were easier to install than the more expensive Trianium cases that we had on the iPhone 7's replaced, I'm skeptical that they will be as durable and shock resistant as Torras claims. They don't cover as much of the case and are much thinner. That said, if you want something sleek and easy to hold, these cases are the ones for you. The iPhone SE and iPhone 7 appear to be almost identical from the outside, and these Torras cases are definitely sleeker looking, lighter, and more comfortable to hold than the Trianium cases were. UPDATE: I've updated the rating on this case. After a couple day's use, I washed the case with soapy water, and the grip on the case is significantly improved. This may have happened with regular use after a period of time, but I am using the case now and am pleased with it. ******* I ordered this case based on positive reviews and great experience with previous Torras cases I've owned. This arrived yesterday and is essentially unusable for me. It fits the phone fine and looks great. The raised rim is a little thicker than my current Torras Slim Fit case (2020 SE), and I'm sure it will provide decent protection. The issue is the texture. This case has a very fine satin-like finish that feels like the phone has baby powder all over it. Not only does it slide around in my hand when I'm trying to use it, I can't prop it up on my desk or a table to watch anything because it just slides back down. Even the phone without the case has more grip than this. I'll continue to look or replace this with another Torras Slim Fit. ... show more

For the price this is a good case (and if you think 20 bucks is expensive for a product designed for an Apple device, look at how much an Apple branded silicon case costs). It feels very silky in the hand, but it is a bit slippery. If you have Butterfingers a lot, you may want to either look for another case or order an adhesive ring for the back. It feels sturdy enough once the phone is inside it and holding it is pleasant. Honestly, the texture is the next best thing to holding the phone with no case to feel the glass back (for those of you new to Apple, the glass back does make it more comfortable to hold in hand and is a huge selling point for Apple products). I ordered mine in "white" and I have to say I am a bit disappointed that it is actually an opaque clear case. Not bad since my SE is white, but if you are ordering this and want a white case on a different color phone, don't order the white one. The red buttons are pretty sweet looking and add some sportiness to the overall appearance (I have been envious of white pixel users forever bc of their orange or red power key).
