Buying something with the name "tough armor" would make you think that this product would be durable. But durable it is not! So, I bought this case because my usual go-to company for cases, Otter cases, has not made a Z fold Fold 3 case yet by the time the phone went on for sale. I did my research on the Web on all the different cases, and because this particular case protected the hinge of the foldable phone, I decided to buy this case. That was a big mistake! I put the case on the phone and then realize that I forgot to insert the SIM card into the phone. So, the 1st and only time I tried to remove the case, the right-hand side case at the bottom left section broke, as seen in the pictures. After this break, I decided to immediately go and buy a new one from another brand. Also be aware, that the thin rubber sheet that protects the hinge is sandwiched in between two thin pieces of plastic that make up the case. As I tried to put the case on the phone with no help from the awful instructions that came with the phone, the rubber hinge cover detached itself from the left-hand cover. It took me well over an hour trying to insert the rubber piece back in between the top and bottom parts of the case due to the tight fit. One more issue, the top front part of the case that covers the front outer screen of the foldable phone is raised far too much. Because of this, I had difficulty hitting the following keys: the number 1, the letter Q, and sometimes the letter A. Also, trying to use the swipe-up gesture from the bottom of the screen is difficult. Overall, the concept for this case is good. The execution is awful. I wonder if half of the bad reviews is due to user error, if your phone is not perfectly clean, adhesive clearly doesn't work. So if you apply this to a dirty phone expect a 1 star experience. On a clean phone it's been rock solid, 1 drop without issue (not a high fall). The way I look at this phone case is 2 extra lives: one for the first round of adhesive and another for the spare set, regardless, how much more worth it is it to have an unbroken phone and a broken case cover than vice versa? The case and hinge cover look and feel great, frankly quite surprised by the mixed reviews. ... show more

I have bought Spigen phone cases for years. It is a solid company and I have been extremely pleased with every one...until now. To be entirely fair, this is a hard phone to design a case for. When you get the case new, you use pre-placed stickers to adhere it to the phone. They don't do that great of a job and you have to be very careful when you open to ensure the hinge protection actually slides into the case the way it should. Otherwise it gets caught and the stickers don't adhere and it pops the front of the case off (which you can see in one of the pictures, it creates a gap between the phone and the case. Easy enough to slot on, but fiddly and gets in the way - creating a pretty annoying user experience. I probably would have just dealt with this, but within a month I developed a crack in the very thin part on the front of the case, making the entire case extremely difficult to maneuver from open to close. This crack happened while my mother was holding it in my car navigating directions. She didn't close it at all. So, I have no idea how the crack arose, but a rather benign car ride (not impact) in my mother's hands doesn't seem like a scenario where I should be worried about a phone case. All in all, I want to be fair to Spigen who has always surpassed my expectations - I am suspicious that very few manufacturers could create a phone case for this phone that I would give 5 stars. Aside from the poor hinge design, thin materials on the front (out of necessity), and the stickers I have to stick to my phone, I would say that the rest of the "base" case is pretty solid. ... show more

    • Case is good but issues...

The case is good.. But when opening and closing the case on the zfold 3. The Hinge part of the case catches, and I have too push in on the Hinge part of case so it straightens in so the phone can close. Also when that happens, it pushes the front part of the case , to were it kinda comes off alittle.. Then I have too push it back on where it should be... It's an issue.. Takes a min. Too correct. Too prevent this I have too. Push in on the hinge part. Of the case while I open the phone up too the main screen so it slides into the case like it should too open. ... show more

New case for me lasted less than a month. No drops on the phone and the front case on the hinge side cracked. Poor materials must have been used. Not like Spigen at all. Tried to add picture but Amazon app not allowing it.
