  • Great Helmet, Great Price, Great Fit.. Did I say great yet?
This helmet is great. I have been looking for a 3/4 helmet that fit well and didn't make me look too much like an astronaut. This one fits the bill. Cannot bet the price either. It was under $50 when I got it in Oct 2016. I ordered 2 of them and indeed go the newer one with the brown inside and metal rim. This was exactly the one I wanted. It comes with a nice protective carry case as well as a small peak visor to help shield against the sun. If you have looked at the Bell 500 or the Biltwell 3/4 helmet this fits pretty similar but is much cheaper. I wanted to get one with a bit more of a design but could not pass up the price. A few things you will notice if you are coming from a full face or beanie. The area around the hear will feel/sound hollow. The fit around the face for me is nice and snug. Some may say tight but I would not want it any other way as I don't want wind to to be blowing in around my face and causing more noise to my ears. Although it is snug, I can still slid in a pair of sunglasses to finish of the look. I also bought a pair of Original KD's to go with these for $6 off amazon and it works great. I ridden with this only in weather that is about 5-15 degrees Celsius (40-60 F) and it is great. If you've never had an open face you will realize the true freedom of having the wind in your face lol.. Of course, it is not a safe as a full face. Surprisingly as well, there is less wind noise for me when I use my 3/4 or my beanie compared to using my full face. If you do want a face shield for this, the 3 button snap at the top makes it fit almost any generic shield made for 3/4 helmets. You can even find ones that flip up and down. • Triumph Bonny Helmet
Size: X-Small Color: Matte Black
Comfortable and high quality feel. Fits nicely over my Bobster Street and Ride goggles with the head band attached. Gives just the right look and feel paired with my Triumph Bonny. I’m considering upgrading to an XL. My other Torc full face helmet is perfect in the L, which I was surprised about because I have an extra-large noggin. I’ll probably stick with the L but it is just a smidge snug. ... show more

  • Rough box but great helmet Rough box but great helmet
When I opened the Amazon shipping box, it was clear the Torc product box was used and had been taped up. I was concerned that the helmet would look similar, however, the helmet is in perfect condition with original bag, tags, and no blemishes. I purchased this on sale, so perhaps that is the reason for the box condition. I own two other Torc helmets and the quality is very similar and nice. I also own a Biltwell Bonanza helmet of the similar vintage style, however, the Torc helmet has a leather strap and snap on the back to help retain goggles which the Biltwell does not. A feature I really like. The Torc is slightly lighter than the Biltwell coming in at 2.67 lbs vs 2.78 lbs for the Biltwell. The removable padding around the ear is lighter and slimmer than Biltwell, but the main foam padding throughout the rest of the helmet seems about the same. The Torc helmet shape seems a bit more of a long oval as opposed to the round shape of the Biltwell which is a better fit for me as it fits my head shape better. The Biltwell puts a lot of pressure on my forehead while the Torc just feels really snug. The Torc also has 5 snaps (3 across the top and 2 on either side at the bottom) while the Biltwell only has 3 across the top. I'm not sure what the two at the bottom are to be used for since the shields only use the 3 at the top. They also seem to be the same size and shape and a bit mushroom head style, but I'm okay with that. All in all, I've very happy with Torc helmet both in fit and finish. I hope I never have to find out how well it performs in a crash. ... show more

  • Love Torc helmets, This one was on the shelf a long time. Received a T-50 not a T-50C as shown.
Size: X-Large Color: Black
This is my fourth Torc t-50 purchase, so safe to say I like the brand, and model. I buy them when I can get them for a discounted price, making them an even better value than they already are at retail. I am not picky about the color or graphics, if I can get one at the right price. Okay on to this one : the ad is for the T-50C (“Classic”) which is supposed to be a more basic version of the T-50, having no chrome strip around the face and a basic black, simplified interior. My Amazon Warehouse super bargain is turned out to be a T-50 with the chrome accent and fancier soft brown interior, a pleasant surprise. The upgrade and price (~20% of current retail for a gloss black t-50 helmet, ~30% for a T-50C) mollifies me a bit from the date in the helmet being from 2012, making this actually the oldest Torc that I have owned. Apparently, this helmet sat on the shelf somewhere, for a long time. I am taking one star off for that. A helmet that sat on the shelf that long should be heavily discounted, if sold at all. As noted by some reviewers these helmets can fit snug on the cheeks, but I find this quite tolerable, if not comforting. and seems to ease up with wearing. I normally use size XL for helmets, and hats and that is what I buy in Torc helmets, I find them overall well fitting, and quite comfortable. I find the fit , finish, and durability of Torc t-50 helmets to be excellent, especially for being in the mid to lower end of the helmet price range. The helmet I am replacing is a Torc T-50 in metallic Blue and fancy crossed piston graphics (which I was going to paint over, but they grew on me) that has been in service about five years, and is just starting to show wear, and soiling in the interior. I would have continued to wear it for a while longer, but finding this bargain is pushing me to replace it. I will continue to buy Torc helmets as I feel they meet my price, quality, safety and value points, especially if I can pick one up at the odd close out, or return discounted bargain price. ... show more

  • Old-school look, thoroughly modern comfort and protection.
Size: X-Large Color: Root Beer Brown
This retro-looking helmet is of much better construction than the $10 lids we used to purchase at the five-and-dime stores in the 1970's. It uses thoroughly modern materials and construction, and fits comfortably, with plenty of padding. The suede-like material used for the liner is soft and absorbent, adding to the superior comfort. The sizing was spot-on. I usually wear XL, and sometimes even XXL. The XL that I got fits me perfectly. The other item of significance is that many of he helmets of the 1970's were not very good at crash protection. This helmet meets the current DOT standards, which have been upgraded significantly in recent years, so it offers completely modern impact absorption, while retaining that 1970's look. The only negative is (as someone else pointed out) the supplied visor rattles. I'm going to try a little clear silicone in the snaps, and if that doesn't stop the rattle, I'll get another visor. If I could, I'd subtract half a star for that. On the other hand, many helmets don't come with a visor at all, so add half a star for including one, even if it rattles. This helmet looks like it's straight from the 1970's, and that's why I bought it. The quality meets today's standards easily, and that's why I will wear it regularly. ... show more

  • Groovy Brain Bucket
Really nice retro helmet. Padded, comfortable, fits great, looks cool. Works with goggles or glasses, good soundproofing. Bubblegum is a great color. I can live without the visor, rattles and I was afraid it would fall off, but prefer it without. Great helmet at a good price.

  • Great helmet.
Size: X-Large Color: Flat Black Flag
I love this helmet! Fast delivery, great looking, very comfortable. Price was way below what I would expect to pay. Sizing chart was very accurate.

  • Round headed and Dense
I bought this for the unbeatable price and looks. Unfortunately it feels a bit cheap in person than either a Biltwell or Bell. (Of course, it is cheaper, by a lot - so duh.) But that’s not why I’m returning. Unfortunately it doesn’t fit. I’m normally L/XL but this XL is just too wide for my narrow head. Better suited for round-heads. It’s a decent helmet, but not for me. I’ll be looking elsewhere for more safety and better fit ... show more
