Build quality seems to be good, I’ve only had it for a week so I can’t comment on longevity. My issue is I’m only getting at max 52-55 watts output out of this 100w panel, I have it hooked up directly to my jackery 500 it has been 90 degrees and crystal clear skies and no matter what angle it is set to it never exceeds 55 watts of charging. I’m no solar expert by any means and I don’t expect it to be a full 100 watts of charging but something closer to a 100 watts would be acceptable and this is half that. I know there are a lot of variables when it comes to solar and charging but I would think with how I have it set up it would be more around 80watts at least. I’m not sure if it’s defective or it’s just the way it is but if you’re looking to use this panel to charge your jackery or similar battery don’t expect a full 100 watts of charging. !!!UPDATE!! Customer service reached out to me and we the the problem resolved, they were very responsive and proactive and even threw in a free led light! I purchased 4 of these 100 watt panels. When I first got these panels I tested them in direct sun on the grass right out of the box. 400 watts of panels only put out 210 watts. I was a little surprised I was only getting about 50% of what was advertised. However I justified my purchase based on the price. I was excited to get them installed on the van so I could keep my batteries topped off. Once they were installed I only got about 175 watt total out of the 4 panels. I assumed this loss was due to the fact that they are now installed and in the sun for more time. The heat I’m sure takes away from the efficiency. I’ve had them installed for about a month now. Today in full sun all 4 panels only put out 75 watts. That’s less than 25% of what was advertised after a very short amount of time. I justified the initial purchase because of the price. But if I’m getting less than 25% of what is advertised I should have bought one quality 100w panel at the same price and it would have taken up less space. They look great and I like the idea of solar. Unfortunately the quality of these panels are not good and are a bad way to spend your money. I just got a set of these panels and connected them to my jump 1800 power station. They are producing a steady 70 plus watts each. I originally ordered the portable panels made by the same company as the power station. However at nearly $500 for the same amount of wattage, I was looking for a comparable alternative at a more affordable price. I purchased a different set that claimed 400 watts per panel. Unfortunately when I tested them , they we're only producing around 60 watts each. Back to Amazon they went and after more research I found these. You can't beat the price per watt, and they actually perform as promised! They also feel very sturdy and durable. I plan on leaving these outdoors in all weather conditions, which I found out after the fact, that the portable ones are not rated to do. Very happy with the performance. I like them so much I ordered two more right away. I now have double the wattage for less than half the price of the portable ones I had. ... show more

I purchased one of these to test and see if the mixed reviews were accurate. My very specific need was to find a panel that would fit on top of the individual tonneau cover panels of my Chevy Avalanche. My goal is to have three panels that can either be used together on the truck or leaned up against the truck when camping. These fit perfectly. I tested the one panel I received in the sunshine on a late December day, adjusting angle due south to capture as much sun as I could. About the best I could do was 62 watts, which is little low for a 100W panel. That said, the build quality is good (other than the lousy silicone goo sealing the output wires as others have mentioned). I ordered two more to complete my installation, and will attach them with VHB tape to the tonneau panels. I have enough adapters to use them in series or parallel, depending on need and where they're being used. If nothing else, they'll keep the batteries charged on my truck, and hopefully will produce enough power when off the truck and tilted properly to keep everything else charged up while camping. 4 stars because of output (would be 5 if 80w+), will re-post if my other 2 panels do better in testing. ... show more

I saw the ad for these solar panels and had to get some. A whole kilowatt of 100-watt panels (10) weighs only 40 pounds - each solar panel is 4 pounds. The price is also lower than comparable flexible 100-watt panels on the market. Putting these on the roof or on a 4x8 foot sheet of quarter inch plywood makes an easy solar array. These panels have MC4 connectors which is the standard for solar panels, makes it easy to "quick connect" the panels for portable uses such as camping with a solar generator. These solar panels would be perfect for stealth arrays that can move around for people who rent or have HOA's that prevent a permanent, visible solar array. The plywood array can be used on a sunny day to charge a solar generator and wheeled (or carried) into the garage in the evening. Btw., the 4x8 foot plywood sheet will hold 5 of these panels. That is 500 watts that will weigh 20 pounds, not including the plywood sheet. ... show more

These 100w felxible solar panels were packaged very poorly. All arrived falling out of broken boxes. Since the cells are fragile we had to accept them on a hope and a prayer that the cells weren't damaged during shipping. Most of the panels have held up and performed within the manufacturer's specifications. Two panels out of 24 had failed within a year of use. One of these panels failed so badly that it actually cooked our fiberglass hardtop. Pictures are of that failed panel. ... show more
