It’s also a very stable desk which benefits from having a single piece for the surface. Other desk I looked at were shipped as multiple pieces for the surface. I’m very happy to have the solid, no seams surface instead. Setup took about 20 mins and was very simple. The fully assembled unit is heavy, about 70 pounds, which wasn’t a problem for me but if you have limitations on lifting heavy objects you may want to have help on hand to flip it over and put it in place. ... show more

Perhaps this should have 5 stars. I'm still thinking about it. The thing is, it's perfect for our household. Lots of surface area (although less than I had before) and no nasty cross bars underneath to hit my head on when I have to plug or unplug something. There are no shelves or hiding places for cords...but that's kinda why we chose this one. Just simple, sturdy space to put our computer and its accompanying devices. If you want a desk with storage drawers and shelves, get something else. If you just want a workspace large enough to fit your stuff--this is great. ... show more

Assembly was straightforward. This desk is well reinforced and should have no stability issues. I could only wish the top were made of solid wood, not particle board, but it is supported by a heavy steel frame, so should be fine. One heads up: if you’re not of beefy build, you may need help moving the box to its location and maneuvering with the top and then the finished product. Assembly can be done easily by one person, but turning the desk upright after assembly may require a second set of hands. ... show more
