The media could not be loaded. Ordered a soundbar for my room so I could listen to videos laying in bed. First impressions are pretty solid, reasonable build quality (mostly plastic but stands very sturdy), comes with a remote to wirelessly control, and the sound quality is very nice given the price point. Onto the cons however, there is a weird startup voice when you turn it on (happens everytime), the default aux cable that comes attached is not the best, and I ultimately used just the microusb to usb A connector instead, and there is this constant blinking blue light, even when using the cable to connect. While these are slight inconveniences, I think given the price point these inconveniences can be overlooked, and it is still a very solid soundbar. ... show more

    • Sounds ok for what it is
I picked this up because I was looking for something I could pair with my Nintendo Switch when playing on a computer monitor. The monitor speakers are abysmal and this is a step up, though doesn't get to the top step. Looks: Looks great on the desk. Is a little over a foot wide and the mesh grille feels classy. The knob on the right side is barely visible from the front. Various cables running out from the back are kind of a downer. Sound: Meh. It's a little hollow without any bass. My wife has a JBL BT speaker that is smaller than this thing and sounds way bigger. It'll pass for what I'm using it for. I am a little biased as I have studio monitors for my main desk setup. It does have pretty good imaging and stereo separation for as small as it is. It doesn't play things as mono like a lot of other small BT speakers. Features: Bluetooth (which it shouts at you every time you turn it on) and 3.5mm aux are both useful. I'll probably never use the sd card feature as it's just too cumbersome to find the song I want, plus it only plays MP3s and my digital library is lossless FLAC. Volume: There are TWO volumes for this which took me a little while to figure out. They can be increased independently of each other. There is the digital volume which can be controlled by the bluetooth controls on your phone or the remote, and then there is the physical volume controlled by the knob. It can get pretty loud by turning up both, though there is some distortion doing so. I recommend turning up the knob volume after turning it on (by the same knob) and then using the digital volume to make adjustments after. I wish there was some kind of bass boost on it. Pros: Looks pretty good Sounds alright. Multiple ways to connect. Has a remote Knob has a satisfying click to turn on and off and a smooth adjustment feel. Cons: Shouts BLUETOOTH MODE (CONNECTED) at you when you turn it on regardless of volume level. No power brick (nothing seems to have one anymore) Micro USB for power. This is a review of “TOPROAD Bluetooth Speaker, Portable Wireless Speaker, USB Powered Speaker”. I really wanted to like this little soundbar. It’s nice looking for the price and even sounds pretty good for a speaker of this type, but it has too many flaws for me to recommend it. Sound quality: This is a sound bar that’s barely two inches tall Do not expect bass, for there is no bass to be found within 40mm drivers backed up by 5 watts of power per channel. Bass aside, the speaker sounds okay. Putting on some Spyro Gyra gives me good midrange reproduction and reasonable reproduction of high notes. This isn’t an audiophile speaker by any means, but the sound is better here than on some other Bluetooth speakers I’ve tested with names you’ve actually heard of. Loudness is good for using this with a monitor and sitting close, but bad for using this with a TV and sitting far away. Five watts per channel won’t fill a room, but it’ll fill a desk area. Features: This soundbar has lots of features. It can function as a PC soundbar over a USB cable. It can function as a Bluetooth speaker. It can play MP3 files off of a microSD card. And here are where the problems start. Aside from sound quality, the thing you want from a PC/Bluetooth speaker is simplicity. You want to listen to music, movies, or games … not fiddle around with getting the speaker to work correctly. Turning the speaker on, the speaker functions as a Bluetooth speaker. Which is fine if that’s what you want. If you plug the USB cable to a PC once the speaker is on, the speaker switches to USB mode. Which is, again, fine. But if you turn your PC off or let the PC go to sleep while the speaker is in USB mode, the speaker switches back to Bluetooth mode and stays that way. To get it to play sounds from your PC again you’ve got to either unplug/replug the speaker or find the remote control and hit the mode button a couple of times. The way this thing SHOULD work is that if the speaker detects a PC on the other end of the USB cable it functions in USB mode … but instead you have to fiddle around with plugs and/or finding a remote control and hitting buttons just to get any sound to play. There’s also a mode for using the soundbar to play music from a microSD card … and this is responsible for almost all the buttons on the remote. I personally find this mode to be completely useless - just serving to make the device more complicated than it needs to be and providing no real functionality. This little soundbar would be far better without the card slot and without the remote - or if they MUST have a remote with it make the remote be only power, volume, mute. No card slot and a fix to the soundbar’s internal software so that it picks the right mode when someone is using it as a USB soundbar. So to sum up, this little soundbar gets good marks for its audio quality (within reasonable expectations), but is brought down by the manufacturer trying to cram too many features inside without regard for making them work well together. overall sounds great. it just has absolutely no lows. it's to be expected from the size of the unit. it gets pretty loud and works for what I need in my office. I definitely recommend it.
