Having a kit that keeps everything in one place isn't just a luxury; it’s a survival tactic. I took the TOPFORT 187/343pcs Kit out to the dock to see if it could handle the "D. Family" chaos. Here’s the breakdown from a guy who values organization and gear that doesn't quit. The Tackle Box: A Handyman’s Perspective The first thing I look at is the container. If the box won't stay shut in my truck bed, the gear inside doesn't matter. The Seal: This is a double-sided box with a high-strength lever lock. It actually has a rubber gasket seal around the edge, making it legitimately waterproof. As a handyman, I appreciate a solid seal—it keeps the stainless steel gear from rusting if (when) one of the kids drops the whole thing in the lake. +1 Layout: It’s compact (about the size of a large smartphone for the 187pc, slightly larger for the 343pc). One side has adjustable dividers, which I love because I can customize the sections for bigger lures or extra weights. This is a review of the 251 piece kit in the green tackle box. I bought this because I thought the largest weights would be good for catfish. But those numbers on the weights are not ounces. D'oh! So Wrong. For scale, the bobber picture is 3/4 inch in diameter. I considered returning it but I reasoned that the seventeen USD I paid was a good deal. I have a lifetime worth of clip on weights now when added to my current tackle and the very small hooks in the kit will be useful for baitfish/panfish and trout. The hooks are decent quality and should be sharpened before use. The barbs are not very big on the smaller hooks. This is often what trout and panfish anglers want My supplies are light in that area so this is a good fit for me. However, none of the hooks have barbed shanks so do be aware of that if you intend to use dough baits for trout. There is one or two sections of what I consider to be bass hooks and they seem pretty well made. The swivels and barrel swivels are for light angling such as trout rigs. There are little rubber stops and beads that will also be good for trout/panfish rigs. The case that this came in was stuck when it arrived. The waterproof (hopefully!) seal around the lid was so GOOD that I had difficulty getting my finger under the lid and had to use a blade screwdriver to pop it open. This should not be a problem from now on. I take that as a good sign of the quality of the seal. The clamp and the box are STURDY as well. They provide plastic section divider inserts where they have packed an item that took up two sections. All of the sections have removable divider inserts so it can be tailored to your needs. The box has a good full length hinge and black rubber/plastic ribs top and bottom so that it may prevent it from sliding when opened or closed. In addition the see-through internal covers (two top sections, one bottom section) have a slide lock so that nothing gets shifted or dumped out when the case is opened. The small size of the kit is an advantage in this instance because I will definitely carry this in my bag. The case is a winner. Bottom line: this is for light tackle fish. I think it will work very well. The box itself (if it endures) is nearly worth the price I paid. Only 4 of 5 stars because the photos of the product and the description should be updated to include dimensions.

Ok to start the box looks nice although it is smaller than I thought it would be :) Pros: • It has a variety of things you will need if you want to start fishing such as : o Offset hooks looks to be of a good quality (not tested yet, but can tell by comparing to the eagle claw ones)with light wire which is good if you are a beginner makes it easier to set hook but might bend if you catch a large one ) o Nice collection of Split shots o 4 nice jig heads, colors are not the best but I do not think fish really cares: D o My fav, is the three-way swivel, I believe most new anglers will need to have drop shot, as it is easy to catch multiple specie using it. o Other stuff that would help in catching catfish and other species :) Cons/Recommendations: Would have been nice to have the following even if it means less of the other stuff, • Triple hooks for spoon lures • Worm weights to go along the offset hooks To be honest most of the people buying those kits are beginners I would highly recommend adding a 2~3 paper with all different rigs you can do with those 187 items. (Drop shot, Split shot, Texas rigs, Carolina rigs ...etc.) Will give it a try on weekend and give an update on the Hooks durability .
