It can be worm close to the waist for a work look, or be pulled up a bit higher to go out for the evening. I like to pair it with a thick pair of thigh-highs (think almost sweater weight) and a garter belt. Nice fabric weight & cut, but ordered brown and white and the waist was an inch different from one color to the other. The brown one was an inch bigger in the waist and the fabric seemed to be heat burned and cannot be ironed out so it is crinkled on one side of the skirt.

Normally I wear a size XL but I figured this skirt would be a little snug so I ordered a 2XL. I got this skirt and the 2XL came like it was supposed to and when I held it up to see how the size appeared, I couldn't help but laugh. It looked like a size medium or large! I wasn't even about to try it on and get it stuck on my hips so I'm returning it. It's a cute, simple skirt, but don't order it unless up size up and by size up I mean if you are a small, get an XL!
