It was the right size and acceptable at the airport. However my dog was able to nose the zipper open and escape a couple times. The bottom slid up the side while I was trying to get the dog inside as she was rather resistant to being caged. It would be good to put Velcro on the bottom to secure the pad and also on the zipper tabs to anchor the zipper to the side so she can't nose it open. ... show more

I got the medium size for my 16lb cat and it was a little short for his height, I would size up for larger pets, however I put the bottom part in the bigger carrier I had and now it hold him up much better, my other cat fits in the new one so I can still use both and both my cats fit in the end.
