The media could not be loaded. We received this cat house as a gift, and our two 1-year-old cats took to it instantly! This was our first time using a heating pad, and the kitties LOVED it. (People have told us how much cats like heating pads ... they were not wrong!) In general, our cats don't sleep on the same bed together, so they don't use the house at the same time. But if you have two small cats that like to cuddle, they can probably fit inside together. There is no temperature or time control on the heating pad, but the temp seems "purrfect" for them. (Not too hot but very cozy!) We are cautious and don't leave it plugged in when we aren't at home to monitor them. If you're looking for a time-controlled option, you could always separately purchase a timer. (We have read that heating pads should be limited to about 20 minutes of use at a time.) It's very easy to set up, and everything attaches with either velcro or zippers. We use the house inside, so we have removed the plastic "doorways" that attach/detach with velcro. (Our cats love to run through it like a tunnel when they're playing chase.) But if you use the house outdoors, you may want the doorways for added protection from the elements. We have not used it outside, but the material is indeed sturdy and feels to be weather-proof. Very happy with our little cat clubhouse! It's also pretty cute!

Okay, I do not leave reviews often and was completely unsure about this product until I opened it up. All I can say is WOW!!!! This is fantastic quality, construction, easy to assemble and so adorable. Before I opened the box, I was anticipating having to spend some time assembling it. Let me tell you, it took about 2 minutes. This house comes in 6 pieces (only 4 shown in photo, I forgot the door flaps for outdoor use). The house itself is 1 piece with the wall joints attaching with full length Velcro. The roof has zippers on the 2 sides and the peak is held again with full length Velcro. Once that is attached, you can add the optional clear plastic door flaps from the inside, again with Velcro. The flaps have a slit in the middle for the kitties to easily go in and out. There are 2 pads included; 1 is an electric pad housed inside a zippered soft cover that can be removed for washing. The 2nd is a sturdy fleece pad. Moving onto the construction, this is made of high quality waterproof insulated materials with a wipeable surface. It has an adorable brick print with window and flowerpots. If using outdoors, there are straps with grommets to easily attach it to a floor surface to keep from blowing or sliding away. The power cord is a heavy duty chew resistant material, with an extra extension cord if needed. Whether you have indoor or outdoor cats, this house is fantastic to give them a place to feel warm and cozy. My kitties were instantly having "discussions" about who was ruler of the palace and they all love it! And even better, it can easily fit 2 larger cats together, or 3 smaller ones. (I have a Mainecoon and Ragamuffin and they were snuggled together) All in all - I would highly recommend this product - I would give 6 stars if possible.

I was looking for a house for the neighborhood cat. I wanted something that had 2 openings so he wouldn't feel trapped and would actually use it. I have a covered porch so I didn't have to worry too much about it getting wet. It was very easy to assemble and I was glad the plastic strips across the doors are Velcro and easy to remove as he did not like the ones on the front. Once I removed them he went inside. The heating pad works well. It doesn't get too hot and seems to keep him pretty comfortable. The only thing I wish is that the pad was softer, but I guess then the heat wouldn't get through as easily. He doesn't seem to mind at all. I'm guessing he really likes his house because although he wanders throughout the day, he always returns to his house to sleep. I do believe this house would be somewhat weather resistant, but I'm not sure it would be in any kind of serious rain or snow. It should be used in a covered area I would think. I would buy this again if I needed a second house. It seems to fit the bill .

This cat hut is adorable and easy to assemble. It shipped quickly and in excellent condition. My only concern is the heating pad included. The cord is extra long which is nice, but the plug is a two prong instead of 3 and half the cord does not have the protective cover. The heating pad is not pressure activated and stays on all the time. The temperature seems a little higher than pressure activated pads and is not adjustable. If this item is used in a covered area such as a garage or outbuilding, in a location that is extremely cold for very long periods of time, this might be a perfect solution. I am looking at replacing the heating pad with a type I have used before safely. The hut itself is great! Just as weatherproof and sturdy as any other brand I've used, only cuter and more decorative for my porch. The cats will be safe and warm this winter.
