I really like the feel of a leather case but you have to read the product information carefully. Many cases put forward as leather, in the description confess to actually being vegan or PU leather. Two days after getting this case which looks really nice, is genuine leather and comes nicely packaged, I dropped my phone hard on a sharp metal lamp base and it landed on the bottom corner. The case took the impact and the case itself was damaged with a cut into the leather. The phone has not one scratch. For the price, the look and feel and smell of the leather is really good and I although the cut into the case is small, I am buying another. The case more than did its job.     • The perfect case...to me anyway

If you're looking for a beautiful, great feeling/gripping, leather case for your iPhone X, I highly recommend this one. I went with the Blue one and it's exactly as pictured and is gorgeous. Even comes in a neat folding wood looking box. The design is slim and doesn't add any bulk to the phone. The leather feels great and I'm sure will feel even better and have that aged patina feel over time. I also like the machined metal of the case buttons over the Power and Volume buttons. That gives it an extra classy touch over some of the other leather cases. And the price is fantastic for this high quality product in my opinion. I read one viewer mentioning a squeaky sound on the right side and I did hear that initially when I squeezed it with some pressure at first. But after squeezing it with some pressure several times, it's pretty much gone now. It just needed to be "broken in" I guess. Anyway hope this review is helpful. This is a beautiful, high quality leather case that competes (and may even be better) than Apple's leather cases. Overall, the leather is a beautiful color and seems to be made very quality. I have currently been using it for about a month now, and have no issues. Obviously the leather can get scratched through every day use, but it actually makes it look better - sort of a patina. The side buttons are great looking against the leather. Only issue was they were a bit "sticky" or tough to press at first, but have since lightened up and work just fine. Very pleased with this case. I never plan to drop my phone off a rooftop so I cannot comment on the protection, but as far as setting it on a desk or carrying in your pocket, or even a fall getting out of a car it seems to do just fine. ... show more

This is a really nice case! Yes, the leather is a bit thin but it is real leather. I doubt the nice finish would hold up well to being dragged across gravel but the case would definitely offer some protection for a normal fall. And at this price, it’s hard to beat. The actual leather looks a bit nicer than in the pics so don’t worry about fake Naugahyde looking stuff. And whoever designed the case, got the bottom cutout correct for the iPhone X, you can swip without hitting the bottom of the case. Give this one a try and skip paying 50 bucks for the OEM Apple leather case. ... show more

I purchased the blue one. This case is amazing. It fits like a glove and feels and smells amazing. I love the smell of leather. I know I’m weird. The buttons feel great and are very responsive. I have a screen protector on the phone and this case has just a tiny lip around the edges so the screen isn’t touching when you lay it face down. Without a screen protector the lip would be even more but I highly recommend a screen protector with this case. I haven’t dropped it yet as I’ve only had it a day but if anything changes I will edit my review and update everyone. But overall I love this case. I couldn’t justify spending $40-$50 on the actual Apple leather case when this one I’m sure is of the same quality. UPDATE: I was trying to take the case off to clean my phone and the case snapped in two near one of the bottom edges. I contacted Toovren and they’re sending me another case. I’ve purchased a leather case before and noticed the sides got super dark from hand oils over time. This time I used a leather protector (one that protects shoes from weather) and it still looks great after 4-5 months of having it on my phone. I’ve also dropped my phone a few times and my phone is still looking good as new. (I do always have a screen protector on too though!) ... show more
