I was concerned by other reviews that this might not operate reliably. I use toothpicks frequently as part of an art technique and so I wanted a dispenser that was quick and easy to use. So far this works great and I've had no problems with it. I'm guessing that occasionally the toothpicks may not dispense or might get stuck given the simplistic mechanism (it's not very complicated), but I haven't had that happen yet. I think for reliable operation it is probably important to keep the dispenser filled at the right level. Both overfilling and running low on picks will probably prevent them from being dispensed sometimes. ... show more

This is a great product for yourself or to gift to anyone. I love that it dispenses 1 toothpick at a time and the other toothpicks are not touched by anyone else in the process. The only thing I would like is more space for more toothpicks, the toothpick fill area is not that big, but that's not a big enough reason not to buy. I would highly recommend. ... show more

I put the toothpicks in all ready to go, put the top on, press the button and nada. Sometimes the pressure would make the top pop off. I was able to get one toothpick to come out the intended area by pressing the button at least 10x repeatedly. Then my fiance had a try at it and pressed the button with the top off and the button has decided it had enough and refuses to make an appearance. So holder is completely useless. Only good thing is that I got toothpicks to use for a new holder that I bought. ... show more

The toothpick holder is about the same size as my salt shaker. It fits well with my table decor and is easy to reload. Pushing the button for a new toothpick gets addicting because you keep wanting to see a toothpick pop up for mo reason at all. Pretty clever way of serving a pick.

I got this toothpick dispenser for my 76 yr old father who had trouble grabbing just one toothpick from a traditional holder. We followed the instructions of not filling it too full, and we've had no issues at all. It's a great product and fun to use!
