Solid single winch to replace a worn one

Dropped into the double L track and stayed where I put it once tension was on the strap, no tools and no fighting it. The steel has real heft to it and the black coating should hold up to road salt better than bare metal. It holds around 20 feet of 4 inch webbing, so plan on a seperate spot for the tail of a full 30 foot strap.

This winch is specifically designed for flatbed trailers strapping down serious loads. It is a heavy and solid chunk of metal. It requires specific (double L) tracks below the bed to hook into and then lock. It requires 4" winch straps that are typically 30' long and also designed for serious loads. For this kind of work, people aren't buying anything because it looks good or has the latest style. This is for hard-working haulers who need their load to not shift and stay exactly where they want it. This has a 5,500 pounds working load limit and a coating that looks like it will repel rust for years. Note that this is just one winch without any straps (straps are also not inexpensive). This item is a very good value for money. I have seen extremely similar items retailing for significantly more. This item is just as good as others and a great deal.

smooth strap slide winch!

Slides right in the track as it should! heavy duty steel quality. perfect fit and size for my step deck 4" straps. installation is a breeze takes me longer to find the tool to get the keeper bolt out than it does to slide this in place. has a great painted finish and makes my older rusty ones look like I need to upgrade to more of these!

My winches our old, but they still were great and they’re very strong, except one that is located directly behind the trailer wheels and has rusted out from the wheel spray. I used this winch to replace it? This winch is hardy and works well! It is easy to use a has a decent appearance. The painted surface seems like it will deter rust well enough and the mechanisms I built to take on an incredible amount of tension.. my older straps were in pretty good condition so I just transferred them over to this winch. And now I’m back in action. It’s been about eight years since I’ve purchased winches and straps so there was a good bit of shock when I looked for replacements. The option of just replacing the hardware was quite welcome and I am glad I went this route. It is a good value for the price, and much easier on the pocket than buying a full set up.
