I’m a woman who prefers to hike in men’s pants— room in the thigh and butt is critical. These pants are awesome! They fit like a glove, kept me plenty warm and then some in 30 degree weather, and are flexible enough not to restrict my movement. Five months later... I have taken these pants in the snow, on freezing cold hikes and fossil hunting at a local beach where I crawled around in sand for two hours. The pants still look brand new. They keep me warm and dry. Their water resistance does have its limits— when I sat in damp sand for an hour my butt got wet. But it dries so quickly. I’ll definitely be buying another pair of these. These fleeced lined pants worked perfectly for my weekend winter camping /snowboarding trip. They kept me warm in 22°F temps. Moisture from the snow never made its way through the material after sitting in the snow multiple times to buckle my boots. So far I love these. I spent $200 on 2 pair of fleece lined pants at Duluth. I decided to try these bc I been looking at them for awhile. I ordered a 5x=38. 4x=36. And a 3x=35( only 1 seller I seen with an actual 35 waist but maybe it's suppose to be a 34?)not sure. But the 4x=36 fit me best. I normally am a 38. So id say they run large. The 5 x actually fit but are really roomy n prob. Look sloppy but I still just wear to work. The 3 x also fit but almost too perfect. I like a little extra room but they were still comfortable. I love the stretchy waist. These are lighter than my Duluth pants but also half the price and they still kept me warm on a 30 degree day working outside for 9 hrs. Wind did not go through.. I love how they look. I wish there was an option for inseam size bc in short but these are winter pants and most likely you'll be wearing with boots and not flip flops so that fills the extra Length going over boots. ... show more

These pants feel pretty well made, are windproof, water resistant and decently warm. I intended to wear them with leggings underneath so for me they are not warm enough as is. They are a little shorter than I'd like but are otherwise well fitting. I am 5'6", female, have a flat butt and was looking for a looser fit so I could layer. The knee pockets are vertical zipper slits on the sides of the leg and NOT where the curved lip is. Weird design but it's fine. I do not recommend these for snowboarding or snow skiing where loose snow could get in your boots. There are no Gators to keep the snow out of your boots. The inseam is so long (approx. 34") they bulk up the inside of your own gaters. They are great for snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, and cold weather hiking without gaters or loose snow. The fit is for a large waisted person with slim legs not a slim wasted person with muscular legs. I'm a pant size 31 and I ordered size 32. They were very comfortable in the legs with room in the pockets but far too big in the waist. Definitely not the right combo for an athletic build: either the legs will be too tight or the waist will be too loose. I do not need to wear long underwear with these when walking in temperatures in the upper 20s/ low 30s. In windy conditions at these temperatures, you will want to wear long underwear and will not want them tight fitting. Since I wanted to wear them without long underwear, knowing what I know now, I would have gone down to a 30 and sacrificed the pocket roominess. I regret going up in size. The waistline will expand a little (stretchy fabric). The belt in way to long with a finished end so trimming is not practical. Very comfortable, water & stain repellent, fine toothed zippers, flexible, and overall 3 - 4 stars. They need to offer an athletic fit though. ... show more

I bought these for everyday use. I live in New England and I walk every morning. I needed something warm and waterproof. The temps are usually in the high 20's, low 30's when I go and I walk along the water so it does get windy sometimes. These pants are perfect for that. They are comfy and keep my legs warm without having to wear long underwear under them. They havent gotten wet yet so I cant attest to that, but they will keep you warm. ... show more
