First to address another review. The APP for this product is called "smart Farmers" and is only available on the Amazon app store and Apple app store, not on android. I am not sure why? However I didn't find the app all that important (thus 4 stars) as the physical controller gives you a LOT of options and control over the device. Now the stats: 20 MPH at top speed, and 89.3db noise level at that speed. That is on level 9. So it goes DOWN from there. This works great with ordinary dryer vent hoses, and as stated in the title was bought to use in 3D printing rather than farming, though in some manner I am farming. Certain materials I use need ventilation and high heat in the room around them, so on a low level I can pull out the particles and air of the tent while a filter allows fresh heated air to come back into the tent. This so far works great for that. I have a few more things to mess around and try to get perfect, but so far so good! The unit itself is made well, and good quality materials. The controller as stated above is excellent in managing the unit and can be mounted on the wall so I can program or change things as I go along if needed. I suppose since the controller is wifi the iOS or Android (amazon) app is for controlling it across wifi but I don't work remotely as things have to be monitored regularly I can't remotely guess what is going on but have loaded the app with no issues. ... show more

I use this setup to pull heat and humidity out of our family room. We have a very high cathedral style ceiling that holds a lot of heat during the summer months and creates a bit of moisture around the vents. This unit is set to automatically turn on and pull any access heat from the upper portion of the ceiling and vents it outdoors. This helps to keep our living room much cooler.
