Ratchet function is trash. Gears stick and either won’t ratchet or doesn’t bite. I could have just got a defective ratchet and I bought for the mostly good reviews. I should have listened to the 1 stars because they’re right. Stick with the better brands. Pittsburg is 10x better than this.

Toolant 3/8 flex head ratchet is a decent budget tool. The head is slim and low profile, making it easy to reach tight spots. Gears feel smooth and it works well for DIY use. I’m not sure about long-term durability, and it may break if heavily forced. Best to use a breaker bar or stronger ratchet first on tight bolts, then use this for speed and access.

Comes out of the box with lots of back drag, but Lucas oil semi-synthetic assembly lube makes it buttery smooth. The head is easy to disassemble with a t6 bit for cleaning and lubing, and is as low profile as you can get for 3/8" drive. The ratchet can still take a lot of torque for being low profile and 90t. I put probably 150lb-ft on it as soon as I got it to make sure everything was in working order, where you should be using 1/2" drive anyways, and it took it like a champ. The flex head indents are nice for getting the sockets on the bolts, but not so stiff that it limits your ratchet's movement. Like another reviewer mentioned, the ratchet does not have a perfectly flat position, which annoys my OCD like crazy. Despite this, because of the buttery smooth ratcheting and flex head mechanisms, it's my favorite ratchet to use currently. Can't beat it for the cost.

The ratchet looks amazing. Unfortunately it's function is lackluster. Back drag is crazy high and the anvil seems to catch occasionally while ratcheting. The grip is nice and the finish is nice. Does come in a nice foam tray. Was looking forward to it. First Toolant tool to not quite meet expectations of performance. It will get the job done, but for the price there are other options that will provide a much more comfortable experience.

Arrived with the retainer ball missing from the anvil, so sockets fall right off. Didn't realize this until after threw away the box so I can't return it. Have to use a small bit of electrical tape as a wedge to keep sockets on. Also, has a lot of back drag, so if the nut isn't already pretty snug you cannot move in reverse before tightening. 90 tooth gear is nice though. As is the shallow head which does help me get into tighter spaces. But sadly, the cons make this this one destined for the junk drawer and I will try again with something else.
