Eyeliner is a critical part of my beauty routine. I often don’t wear shadow at all, just winged liner. So I’m very good at judging liner quality. Having mature skin further complicates my “perfect eyeliner” quest. I prefer the soft, gentle glide of potted gel liners. However, I find that it’s more difficult to apply a winged, sleek line with a brush. When I discovered that “Too Faced” now makes eyeliner, I knew it had to be good. This glassy slick gel pencil glides on beautifully AND lasts up to 36 hrs. I love it!!! I have removed this liner with a bit of Clinique brand “Take the Day Off” and a make up wipe (Neutrogena). In a pinch, just a wipe will suffice, tho it does tug a bit. Rich pigments tattoo your eyes with color and beautiful wings. Once easily applied, it must be removed. My tecnnique is great, but you don’t need anything special; just a steady hand. Colors are so good!! Deep, silky brown and midnight inky black. This eye pencil stays on forever! I have very oily irritable skin around my eyes and this is the most waterproof product I've ever used! It IS a little difficult to sharpen, but it's still worth it!

After ordering 3 times from 2 different vendors and getting “Caramel” an ugly red brown instead of Espresso brown, I went to the manufacturer website. I don’t blame Amazon I blame their vendors who clearly don’t care. The Espresso is a nice dark brown but these pencils don’t work with a cheap sharpener. I ordered one made in Germany for about $10 and expect it will do a good job based on the reviews. Also these liners aren’t really that long. Since they are so dark I’m using them more when I go out and use the Maybelline unstoppable espresso for daywear. ... show more

Hi , the color is great , glides on nicely . The only complaint I have is that the liner is hard to sharpen without the tip breaking :/ I refrigerated it & still couldn’t get a good sharpen tip . Any suggestions ?

This is my everyday eyeliner without a doubt. It is soft and applies smoothly to a mature eye lid. Lasts all day and doesn’t smear. The killer espresso is the perfect black/brown color - not as harsh as black can be.
