I've had a number of handheld gaming systems and smaller handheld PC's over the years and used so many different types of carrying cases. This is by and large the highest quality, lowest profile yet very spacios storage bag. I bought it for the Asus Rog Ally and the Steam Deck - both fit perfectly along with chargers, cables, extra batteries, cables etc. Plenty of room, high quality, and a very functional well-designed layout of the bag. 10/10 worth every penny. Love quality of the bag and thought put into making it a great place to store a portable gaming device. I do not care for the plastic hooks for the strap to attach to the bag. In general they are probably fine but i would rather they be metal. I assume this was done to save weight. bag is just the right size not too big but big enough to make sure you have everything for longer gaming sessions on the go. the issue i have with other cases is simply they don't allow for enough storage to keep everything you need in one place. Aside from my steam deck, I usually use this for light travels for commute like wallet, phone,, small folding umbrella, etc and packs it well.

I like the tomtoc brand of products found on Amazon. I have several bags, cases, and other products from them, and they are all outstanding. I purchased this product for my Lenovo Legion Go portable gaming PC. The Legion Go is larger than the Steam Deck and ASUS Rog Ally, but it fits perfectly, though it is snug. I have the Legion Go, a wall adapter, a couple of USB-C cables, and a USB-C multi-port adapter all in the case, and I have room left over for a few other things if it becomes necessary. Tomtoc uses high-quality materials that will last a lifetime. It's like the nylon I find on Tumi products. Also, tomtoc uses YKK zippers which will last a lifetime too. This is a really high-quality product to protect your portable game devices. I give it the highest recommendation. ... show more

    • Can’t stand big cases
The last thing I wanted was a case that was larger than the one that came with my Legion Go. Ordered just because of high reviews and recommendations and honestly thought I would return it. Now I can’t imagine ever using the og case. It’s secure inside, it may not be a hard shell but I’m not worried about it getting damaged from table height drops. Fits everything I need, keyboard, mouse, charger, earbuds, legion go. And yet, still manages to not look huge! ... show more

    • Room for improvement but still the best choice.
While this bag is made with quality materials and has more than enough room for the accessories you'd realistically want to take with you, there are some head scratching design decisions that should be looked at if tomtoc ever decides to revise this bag. > Lack of a proper carrying handle means you essentially have to use this as a shoulder/sling bag unless you want to use the luggage strap(?) as a makeshift one which is uncomfortable. > At the bottom of the front of the bag there is a little strap that is presumably meant for your hand to go through and hold the bag from the bottom as a replacement for a carry handle. the problem is it's located opposite to the Steam Deck and therefore where the weight is and ends up being essentially useless. > While the Steam Deck fits snuggly in its compartment, the joysticks feel exposed no matter which way you face it in the bag, the W protector isn't rigid enough and easily leans towards one side and if you face it the other way the padding gives just a smidge too little side to side clearance to feel confident it won't mess with your sticks. Also you can press the sticks down from outside the bag if you face it this way (although I doubt this will happen within standard use cases). > Getting the Deck out also is a bit harder than it should be. The snug fit and curved design of the bag and zipper make it tricky to remove (especially one handed) without snagging the sticks or triggers on the zipper or interior of the bag. I ended up usually folding the zipper back to avoid it scraping against the sides of my deck. Thankfully the positives heavily outweigh these more minor oversights and being able to carry both the Deck and accessories in one bag is enough to justify its price tag, I just hope that tomtoc does a revision to improve on these shortcomings. ... show more

    • Holds steam deck firmly
This bag feels very study it fits a steam deck nicely with a full killswitch kit it has a hard removable fitted insert fitted for the steam deck with a foam wall on the back side of the pack for protection for the decm im also able to fit a 25k battery pack 100 watt usb c charger 2 usbc cables a usbc dongle dock an hdmi cable and a logitec g305 aswell as have room for other items with it this bag also doesnt scream gamer case more like this is a mini satchel highly reccomend this bag ... show more

    • Great Asus ROG Ally carrier
Overall: If you own an ASUS ROG Ally and you ACTUALLY move around with it a lot, this is the perfect carrier. While it is designed for the steam deck, the Ally fits in it well, if not perfectly. Perfect for: Steam Deck (Duh) AND the Asus ROG Ally! So, using this bag, you can fit the Ally and pretty much everything you need to use the Ally in hand and connected to a TV. My standard loadout with this bag is as follows: 1. Ally 2. Power Brick 3. Foldable stand 4. 'Dock' and necessary cables (USB C transfer and HDMI). 5. Phone, wallet, keys, etc. 6. Sweat absorbent hankies ( I was in Japan in summer and it is HOT). The good: Just the right size! Enough to fit the Ally and its ancillary devices. I had no problem walking all around tokyo with it. The strap and buckles are well placed. Awesome protection for the screen The bad: Not much, though I wish they made an Ally specific carrying situation instead of the steam deck. The removal process of the sleeve insert would be amazing since it makes tis bag more usable. But alas you can't remove it... ... show more
