This is a Christmas first floor my nephews. I plugged it in to check it out. It bridge beach some nice memories of playing some of these games while growing up. The system is very easy to use just plug and play.

I am so surprised that the quality of this little thing. I truly was not expecting half the performance that I’m getting out of this. I was expecting slow gameplay bad graphics not much more than just a bunch of games loaded onto an SD card but that’s not the case at all For starters, I was expecting sluggish menu navigation much like an old fire stick or something like that, but I could not find any delay. I believe it actually loads games faster than an original Xbox with emulators on it. There’s tons of categories of games. I won’t go into what games. You should be able to figure it out. I was not expecting to give more than three stars for this product and that’s genuine real talk, but to say it out performed, my expectations is an understatement I do find that the remote/controllers it comes with are a little cheesy and feel kind of cheap. But they are comfortable and did work. I would love to be able to use my own controller though. I tried with a USB controller and it didn’t work, but I didn’t put any more effort into it. It could’ve been my controller. In fact I’m almost positive. It was my controller‘s fault. I will put a little bit more effort in and see if I can make it work and if I can, I’ll update this review, but even if I can’t, I’m not taking any stars away because the controller it comes with good enough… It actually comes with two wireless controllers I strongly recommend this product if you like retro gaming… Edit: i completely forgot… I had to take a star away for this… When you are navigating the menu, it plays a little like a bubble popping sound every single time the cursor moves and it is impossible to turn it off, and it is one of the most annoying things I have ever experienced. I am always sensitive and things like this can almost literally make me freak out. I become so overwhelmed and that’s exactly what this made me feel. It is so obnoxious trying to go through thousands of games and having to listen to a bubble pop sound for each and every time you move that stupid cursor. To me it makes this thing unusable however it’s a good enough product that I will mute my TV to select the game I want and then unmute it to play it. But let it be known right now. I find it unacceptable and there needs to be an update from the maker to disable that horrible horrible sound

This retro gaming console with 20,000 games is decent if you want something portable, plug and play, and easy for kids or adults to enjoy. However, for the price, an Anbernic handheld offers a much better experience overall. The sound was often muffled, and I noticed some screen fuzziness at the bottom during most games. The controller feels light and cheap, and I am not confident it will last long, though it works fine for now. The game list is okay, with minimal duplicates, but the selection could have been stronger. I also had freezing issues with certain games like Bloody Roar on the PlayStation emulator. Be sure to back up the included 64GB microSD card, as these low-cost cards tend to fail over time.

Right out of the packaging, it is prepared to be used. In a matter of seconds, I was able to select a game from a vast collection of options after I just connected it to my television by means of the HDMI connector and started it up. It is simple to search for content based on the platform or genre, and the user interface is sleek and easy to understand. The twenty-three built-in emulators, which ranged from Atari to PlayStation 1, left a significant impression on me. The performance of the emulator is outstanding, with gaming that is rather smooth and very little latency. The two wireless controllers that are included in the package are quite effective and have a reasonable range. I played for hours on a single charge, which is another positive aspect of the battery life. Amazing is the way the 4K HD output looks! Despite the fact that it does not miraculously bring ancient games into the present era, it does give them a more polished and crisp image that looks fantastic on modern televisions. It is a significant improvement over having to cope with dated AV connections or cumbersome CRT monitors. The element of pure nostalgia is the one that I like the most. Since I was a kid, I've been playing some of my favorite games, such as Double Dragon and Final Fight, as well as other obscure games that I had forgotten existed. I also appreciate that the system allows you to save your progress in games, which is a really helpful feature for lengthy role-playing games or platformers. And let's not overlook the fact that this system is extremely portable. Already, I've taken it to two different family get-togethers, and both times, it was a huge hit with everyone. Simply connect it to any television, and the game can start.

Among the many highlights of my visit has been the opportunity to investigate the vast gaming library. NES, SNES, Genesis, and PlayStation 1 classics load fast, providing authentic versions that run smoothly at full 4K resolution. These games are also available for the PlayStation 1. Titles that I hadn't played in decades came to life with sharp visuals and realistic music, and the built-in save state function of the system allowed me to stop any game and return to it at a later time without losing any progress. I tried a variety of games, including intricate platformers, long role-playing games, and fast-paced arcade shooters, and all of them played smoothly without any hitches, stuttering, or controller latency, even during strong action moments. It is important to highlight the two wireless controllers in particular. In addition to having buttons that are responsive and analog sticks that accurately register movement, they have a real weight to them when held in the hand. Both controllers remained connected for the whole of the long multiplayer sessions, even when they were located more than twenty feet apart from the stick. There was a built-in LED indication on each controller that provided an easy way to indicate the battery levels. Even after many nights of play, I had not been required to recharge the controllers, which is proof of their effective electricity management. In a little more than an hour, the controllers were ready for use after being recharged using the micro-USB connections, which offered the same level of convenience.

I got this for some summer break for my kids and it did not disappoint. The setup took less than five minutes—just plug into the TV and it’s ready to go. The wireless controllers work well, with no delay, and the signal stays strong even from the couch. The game list is massive—thousands of classic games from different systems. It’s fun scrolling through and finding old favorites I haven’t played in years. The picture quality is clear, and I like that you can save your game and pick it up later. No internet needed, which is perfect for taking it on trips.
