I have an older pair of TH slim-fit denim capris that I love so I used that as my basis for choosing a size 10 and I'm glad I did. These fit well though slightly looser than the capris. I am 5'7" (maybe closer to 5'6" as i have aged)155 lbs, average build (and not athletic at all). As menopause crept up I have thickened around the waistline and these do not pinch me there. They sit comfortably just below my belly button. (TG since the high waisted stuff irritates the crap out of my arthroscopic scar). There is some stretch which makes them super comfy. They do appear to loosen up over the course of the day. I might be able to get away with an 8 but am not sure they would be as comfortable in the waist. The Cape Blue do appear to have a shorter inseam (4") than the other choices shown which I prefer. There is a warning that dye transfer may occur so if you have light upholstery be warned. I am definitely stocking up on these.

These are excellent shorts and well worth the money. Though I am still slender and fit, I am nearing 60 and the skin on my thighs is getting saggy. :( I no longer feel confident bearing too much thigh. These shorts end about 3 inches from the top of my knee and they fit very comfortably because there is a slight stretch in the fabric. I am 5'5", 127 lbs, and I normally wear a size 4, but I ordered a size 2 because nicer name brands tend to run bigger. I'm glad I did because they fit perfectly. So if you are looking for a longer, quality pair of shorts, these are the shorts for you.

I like the fit and look, especially the cuff hem. However, I plan on sewing the cuff as some of the inner fabric is get thready. Still a nice looking purchase and perfect perfect for those who are particular about the length of the shorts--not short-shorts but not Bermuda length NO distressing either!

I LOVE these shorts..there's just a bit of stretch and they fit perfectly. The white jean fabric is dense enough that you can't see through..a pet peeve of mine with white pants of any kind. It fit true to size for me. I'm not a stick figure and can have issues finding shorts that are flattering and these are super comfortable and look great. I'm 5'5" and the length is exactly as I like....not too long and not too short. They are great with wedges and flats...pair with a favorite T-shirt or a dresser top and and you have a versatile outfit to wear in the Summer. Thinking about a second pair.
