I read the instructions several times thinking I must be missing something, but the screen only shows black even though it shouldn't. I even contacted the seller but have not heard back - very disappointed. I haven't bothered to try with my phone because the whole idea was to use it with my computer. This item is absolutely far beyond what my expectations were in regards to design, functionality, ease of use, and quality of materials used. I came across this by accident but being that my dad and I, both passionately and aggressively, collect and maintain a keen interest in numismatics. This is an absolute MUST HAVE NECESSITY for anyone serious about collecting, selling, or just getting started in the hobby. Lightweight and simple to use. The instructions are thorough. Connects via wifi and you can really zoom in on tiny things, dew drops on leaves, insect eyes, etc. It all works though a simple, free app. Take video or pictures. Great purchase, highly recommend!

However, when an acquaintance showed me the capabilities of this Tomlov digital microscope and introduced me to the beautiful world of Myxomycetes, I immediately ordered one for me and one for my wife.
