The mycelium came hard as tire rubber and would not break apart through the bag. I dropped it into the grow medium anyway in hopes it might activate enough to soften. Nearly a month later and it's still a hard solid mass. No fungal growth and no increase in CO2. I bought this on recommendation that it was as good as the Exhale brand bags. No mycelium UPDATE: Although the mycelium was very scant, these two bags I bought DID actually eventually get inoculated and plumped up nice and tight. It took quite a while and probably would have been more useful had they contained the amount shown in the picture, but they worked as far as what they imply. ... show more

I don't exactly have a closed tent right now but it's nudged my CO2 from 405 PPM to 430PPM, I bought a 2nd one have to wait and see how it does once I have 2 in a more closed tent. Last run I used incense sticks and got my PPM to spike to 1200 but all the buds wound up smelling like incense. According to Dr. Bugbee if you can maintain 1100ppm you will get around 30% more yield with enough light. These things last a year so I may wind up trying 4 or so in my tent. The initial setup was a bit of a pain they could be a more compartmentalized system to make it better. ... show more

The key to this bag for me is this. You only need CO2 really between weeks 3-6.5. If you put this on your light and use the heat from your light. It pours out CO2. It will use the whole bag up in those weeks. And the whole time your riding 800-1100ppm. That's great!!! I was able to slam them with newts. I will continue to buy these. Don't raise the price or I'll get them from somewhere else. ... show more
