This thing can pump some juice!!! - Be sure all the hose connections are tight because most of mine were not tight, but no complaints on that - Started day one playing with straight water to get the feel of it - Promising!! - Day 2 filled it with the treatment and a little 2 cycle fuel and put on the two tip wand and sprayed several tanks of mix today - I recommend a full-face respirator because this puts out a strong spray in a surprisingly fine mist - Most of the spray goes right where you want it and the finer spray is great but some goes in places where you'd rather it didn't as would be expected from any sprayer - I wouldn't say I got wet but a bit made it back my way and I'd rather keep those chemicals out of my eyes & nose - I wondered if the weight of the sprayer and 5+ gallons would be a bit much for this 67 year old but it wasn't so bad although a table or something to sit it on to get it on your back is really helpful - It would be helpful to have a handle to carry this by when it's not on your back but that is a small thing and carrying by the backstraps sufficed - I started with a Chapin that leaked a lot right out of the box so I sent it back and got this beauty and I am very happy - Also glad I went to a gas powered unit, glad I chose the Tomahawk and would recommend this thing to anyone with a lager spraying task - Love my new Tomahawk!!

Item shipped had already been used and obviously returned as defective. The tank had oily bug spray in it. The gasoline line leaks air and the engine won't run w/o choke on. The line from the tank to the pump was disconnected because it was cut too short and the tank dumped all its contents. This a garbage manufacturer and a garbage supplier. Worse than that, Amazon puts you in an endless do loop for the return and it is impossible to get a return approved. I have wasted an hour trying. Just about to cancel my Prime credit card and membership along with it.

I haven't used this sprayer long so I hope I'm not jumping the gun posting a review. This sprayer works great. I bought the one with the pistol sprayer and the wand sprayer both. The pistol sprayer delivers the volume. Its almost like a garden hose on its highest pressure setting. Perfect for large area's of heavy brush you are trying to kill. There are only two minor drawbacks to this sprayer I've noticed. Neither problem is a design flaw or reason not to purchase. First, with the pistol sprayer and with the unit on its highest pressure setting, it will empty a entire tank in about 10 minutes of heavy usage. You want to use it in this configuration only where you need high volume and max. coverage. Second, when its tank is full, this baby is heavy. I estimate its 80lbs easy. Reminded me of my days in basic training. However you can only fill it half way if the weight is a problem. Also make sure and tighten all your hoses before using it.

The item arrived on the first day of the estimated time. The box it came in looked alittle worn, the cardboard box looked like it had gotten wet in some spots then dried back out, but everything was taped shut and it didn't look like it had been crushed or anything. When unpacking the item, everything seemed to be there. I'll be honest, with the price tag I expected to get a sense of heavy duty durable equipment, which I didn't not, honestly I felt like I spent my money on a Temu item.... but in hindsight, the way the pack is constructed was probably intentional to keep the overall weight of the backpack to a minimum. Which is just smart. Assembly was pretty simple, just attach the straps, the hose to the pump, and the foundation gun to the hose. I used some white thread tape for the foundation gun to hose connection, I saw it was recommended by other buyers online. I fired it up the next day, fueling, adjusting and starting the motor all relatively simple. But had trouble when connection from the pump to the hose began to leak and spray water out, after more inspection, it was plain to see that the leak came from the hose itself and the metal fitting that would connect to the pump. I don't believe I did anything to the hose yet that could have damaged it in this way. I immediately got online and ordered a replacement hose. However, I was able to get a few short bursts out of the 5 gal tank before the hose started having this issue, and I can say that the spray was strong enough to impress. I primarily bought the pack because I often need to spray herbicides as far as I can into ponds in order to treat for aquatic vegetation or algaes. I can't confirm until I get the replacement hose, but the sprayed felt very powerful compared to everything I've used previously. I'm looking forward to actually putting in some time with this pack in the field and seeing just how strong this thing is.

I've used this machine twice, now. Once as a mosquito misting unit and once for power spraying. The first time I used it, I used ten gallons of finished product on a property I usually would have only used two. Then, I found the flow valve. The second time I used it, I used ten gallons, as well, but for the size of the buildings, it wasn't unreasonable. I plan to use it once more for mosquitoes, to see if anything changes, but then, look for a blower unit for mosquito treatments, if I'm not happy with it for that. I am totally happy with it, though for power spraying. It definitely works for that use.
