I wanted to install these ... then I took a second look: the kit HAS the bit plastic bolts to connect the bottom part of the hinge to the toilet SEAT and through that to the toilet BOWL but does NOT include the actual smaller hinge BOLTS to connect the hinge to the toilet LID. Either reuse old, worn dirty parts or buy these separately ... Epic FAIL! ... show more

I was looking for a replacement toilet seat for one I had with broken hinges when I stumbled across this hinge replacement set. I honestly didn’t know that replacement hinges were a thing! I’m pleased to report that this hinge set worked to successfully replace the hinges on my Kohler toilet seat. This set does not come with the screws to attach the hinge to the lid/seat so you need to reuse the ones that were used for the existing hinges (it does, however, come with the plastic bolts to attach the hinge to the toilet itself). At first while installing, all four holes on each hinge wouldn’t line up perfectly with the four holes on the toilet seat and lid, but by loosening the lid screws a bit I was able to get the seat screws in at an angle which straightened up as I tightened (and then I retightened the lid screws). The entire seat/lid then very easily connected to the toilet with the provided bolts. Very happy with this-much-less-expensive and better-for-the-environment alternative to replacing my entire toilet seat due to broken hinges. ... show more
