It's pretty straightforward as far as mounting and operation. As expected, the destructions aren't written in the best Engrish, but good enough that you can figure it out. My biggest advice when setting up the menus, is to turn OFF the motion detector function (the instructions also tell you this). The reason is because it will become EXTREMELY difficult to turn the camera off (necessary to do any menu adjustments). Other than that, you'll figure it out. I like the fact that it records front and back and the video quality is decent for the price point. It also is easy to change settings on the device. However, it seems flimsy. The way it connects to the mount makes it very easy for the device to fly off! It seems like you should connect it then twist, but it does not twist and any pressure touching it from the side makes it easy to fall off. I just needed a new camera for a second car. My other dashcam seems sturdier even though it is several years old. but it only records forward, not backwards. ... show more

You will have to keep camera plugged in the whole time. In my vehicle I only have one plug for a car charger. So it's either camera or charge devices. The camera turns off when unplugged. I haven't got the auto detect to work for when the vehicle is tapped when in park. You have to position it just right to see behind and infront. My issue is I have a small window so I have to position it high in the middle of the window but my rearview mirror blocks the camera looking back behind me ... show more

Used the dashcam for a bit over a year until it stopped working. It repetitively turns on for one second and then turns off. I checked if the wires were plugged in correctly and if the memory card still has space and they both are good, so it seems to be an issue with the dash can itself. It has some helpful variety of settings. I like the different camera angles and directions. It loads easily to the micros SD card and is easy to find in the computer. The chord and non-USB connection is a small pain, but that’s the only downside I can think of. Good product, in my opinion!

This camera is very affordable and simple to use. Some functions you may not understand but default mode is great. Be careful when unloading micro chip, I lost one when it poped out and went into top vent. You can remove camera from mount and download to computer. You can just format each time when you reach your 160 minutes in vehicle if you know there's nothing you need on it. It would be nice if it had Bluetooth. That way videos could be downloaded automatically online if an accident destroys your camera. ... show more
