Never have i ever melted metals nor i casted before This was my first to buy to get in the realm of melting and casting Perfect customer support from the getgo, they contacted me once i ordered the 220V to confirm with me , and they even provided the plug type i needed. The machine is easy to use and yest it did the job of melting aluminum, did my first alu muffins today When it got here it was well packed and looked clean and professional. The crucible provided was very sleek and had a groove that i appreciated when handling it with the tongues, had to tamper it by slowly increasing temp from 260 for ten min then increasing temp by 100 each for 5 min (no science behind my approach but my common sense) I had some crucible - sliding in and out - issues at first , but i have sanded the opening with a green stone on my dremel testing it back and fourth and it worked very well i haven't tried or tested other furnaces but i thing this is a really good value for your bucks overall im very happy and probably will buy a set of crucibles for different metals from the supplier soon ... show more

The media could not be loaded. So we accidentally ordered the wrong voltage one . Our fault not the venders. ( Note to self pay attention next time to descriptions) I messaged the vender and said I would pay for return and asked if we can do an exchange. OMGOSH they were polite, didn't charge us for the exchange ( which I was more then willing to pay because it was my dumb maneaver lol) , and so quick. Max also kept us notified the entire time and responded quickly to questions. The furnace it self is unbelievably awesome for the price point. My husband has been merrily making ingots and experimenting with molds with the help of his new "toy". Specifically melting aluminum and it does great! It heats quickly and is low maintenance for a beginner. ... show more

    • buy the 120v if you’re in the U.S.
First: I ordered the 220V. The furnace came with a 120V plug. The seller was prompt to respond and sent me a 120v unit replacement. It works well.
