It's an awesome mold. This mold is big and takes quite a bit of resin to fill, maybe 7-8oz. But I'm not sure because I always fill the mold with gemstone dust, gem fragments, etc. as well as the epoxy. The investment will pay off, though. The realism and style of this skull are great! It's detailed and nothing seems "weird" or "silly" about it. You can make a serious, heirloom-quality item with this mold. This brand makes awesome stuff that is fun and easy to use! I use their moldmaking putty, liquid silicone, and a lot more. I recommend checking them out.

Did its job, held up to a long use (8 hours) with a heat gun, excellent mold but tough to get out but it’s worth how good it looks for the price.

I am using this sort of mould for melting plastic back down into useful shapes in a large toaster oven, since city recycling programs are a farce. I have purchased many, many brands of this sort of thing, and these are the ONLY ones that do not stick, burn, or eventually rip and/or crumble. This is real silicone. I think the other brands are not good silicone. I have used these for HDPE (#2) and for PLA. One can never get the bottoms (top, when inverted to melt) even, since plastic does not flow like resin. So, it requires some carving skills to finish them off. Not the fault of the moulds. I have returned to see what other shapes this brand has to offer and to purchase more. (If you decide to try this, please brush up on plastic types, temperatures, dangers, etc. Heating plastic incorrectly can cause carcinogenic fumes.)
