The TOAKS Titanium 450ml Cup is a simple, lightweight piece of gear that does exactly what it’s supposed to do—no more, no less. At its core, it’s easy to clean and highly practical. Titanium doesn’t hold odor or flavor, so a quick rinse or wipe is usually enough to get it ready for the next use. That alone makes it valuable in the field where convenience matters. Weight is where it really shines. It’s light enough to disappear into your kit, which is exactly what you want when you’re carrying everything on your back. The single-wall design also means you can heat water directly in it, adding to its utility. You can use it over an open fire, but given its smaller size, you’ll want to be careful. It heats up quickly, and handling it without proper caution can lead to burns. For more sustained fire use, a classic canteen cup style is probably a better fit. Still, for survival and general utility purposes, it holds its own. Titanium’s corrosion resistance and near-indestructibility make it a reliable long-term piece of gear. Take care of it, and it’ll take care of you. At the price point, it’s accessible enough that picking up more than one isn’t a bad idea—whether as backup or to stage in different kits. Great and ultra lightweight - add silicone tubing to handles
Style: without lid
Ultra lightweight cup and the perfect size for making a single person meal or drinking a coffee. Titanium is a really great material due to its weight and not having to worry about stuff leaching into your food (as opposed to mixing hot meals in plastic or nonstick cookware, although I am definitely a fan of Fozzils Snapfold Plastic Bowlz as well). The one thing I will say is that heat will easily transmit throughout titanium so the handles can get hot to hold and your lips not appreciate sipping from it. I initially thought to use the MSR Titan Ultralight Titanium Cup because of this (handles are top of cup are coated with silicone), but there was a substantial price difference. Fortunately, there’s a fix for this! For drinking, buy the Snow Peaks Hot Lips – which is great because you can use them for other containers as well. For the handles, purchase silicone tubing (I got 3mm inner diameter and 5 mm outer diameter ones). You can take out the handles, put the tubing on, and snap the handles back in. The easiest method would be to get the silicone hot first to make it more pliable. I also had food grade silicone spray lying around which I used as lubricant. It took some elbow grease but I’d highly recommend doing this. I could have purchased silicone tubing of a slightly larger diameter to make it easier to slide on but couldn’t comment as to how it might affect the fit. Search on YouTube and you’ll find some good video demos. Highly recommend!

Quality/Price perfection
Style: without lid
This cup is perfect for heating up small batches of water for coffee, tea etc right on a stove. That's mostly what I have used this for. Too small to cook a meal out of, unless it's oatmeal or something similar. No lid provided, but if I want one, I just set my .9L pot lid on top. Titanium is an excellent conductor of energy, which means it heats up and cools down very fast. However, I have not noticed significant heat loss from my morning drinks in this cup as long as I drink it in a timely manner (<10 min). This cup is cheaper than any single wall Ti cup I found but the quality is there. The handles do slide up and down in their sleeves, but this does not make them any less stable. This is on the heavier side of ultralight ti mugs out there, but includes handles and is a sturdy thickness compared to other ul cups.The small weight penalty is worth it if you prefer hot drinks on your trips. It can also be used for scooping water for filtering. Update: After using this cup for almost a year and a half, it has earned its place in my food bag for backpacking on almost every trip I have been on since I purchased it. I have began using this at home for my morning smoothies, as it is easy to wash out by hand without having to worry about being streak free like glass.

decent mug

It's a good size, maybe a little on the smaller side. It's a little shy of what most dehydrated meals require, but does the job. It holds an adequate amount of coffee. The construction is decent, it's relatively sturdy and has not yet deformed in fire, but it may if it's empty I imagine. The handles are light, sturdy, and comfortable. The mug may get hot enough so you can't grab it by the handles, but they stay cooler than the mug and the whole thing cools down relatively quickly as compared to other metals. There is a slight texture to the surface, it's not polished, but I have had no difficulty keeping it clean. The mug became covered in creosote when I was burning dead fall in a bushbox stove, even after it cooled, a little elbow grease got it clean. My Fancy Feast Wick Stove with 2 oz bottle of fuel (denatured alcohol inside a 5 hr energy bottle) fits inside the mug held snug in place by a standard Bic lighter works out nice. I have read one Amazon review that recommends a Blue Diamond Almond can lid snaps on, that would be nicer than keeping it in a sack and would fit over the packed contents. I have only given it 4 stars as they do not offer a lid for it. (I found another 450 ml Ti cup with lid and the same orange sack, for only $5 more! Hmmm...) I also discovered an aftermarket vendor (Batchstovez) making aluminum lids to compliment this product.

Performs all the vital functions of a cup

It holds water. It can be heated. It has little handles with a little indent that will rest in your pinkie finger. If you really want to, you can put stuff in it and shake it really loudly to scare bears (not manufacturer recommended). In a pinch, you could use it to perform the Cups Song. I took this on my last backpacking trip and it performed its job admirably. I added a pair of Snow Peak Hot Lips to make drinkin boiling hot beverages a little more comfortable. I cooked rice and oatmeal (separate meals, not as a combination, that'd be gross) in it, and I had a nice adult beverage in it. At under 3 ounces, it packs away nice and light. It's worth noting that this is 450 ML, which is 15.2 ounces. Some people will be annoyed by this because it holds just a little less than 2 cups, and if you are a stickler for Empirical measurements and very precise recipes this size might drive you crazy. However, if you're that much of a stickler, you really need to consider just, you know, chilling out a little. It comes with a stuff sack. I misplaced it immediately because I don't think a cup needs its own stuff sack. It's a cup, not a sleeping bag.

Make sure you understand the difference between insulated and not insulated titanium

As good as can be expected for the cost. Not insulated, research this if you care. It will get hot. insulation will add to the weight though. Just know what you’re purchasing. If you’re looking for this type of cup, just get it. The thinner version is very prone to denting. This one’s fine (my 12 year old hasn’t damaged it yet in Scouts).

FANCY SPACE METAL!!!

Now first off let me say I am not a backpacker or some big outdoor enthusiast, as I write this I am currently deployed and looking for a tea cup I wouldn't have to worry about dropping and breaking. While I know I could have chose something more insulated for this purpose I decided to go with this Toaks 450ml cup because one its made of titanium which is not only cool but light weight and I don't have to worry about it rusting like some of the cheaper stainless cups I have purchased. This cup is about the average size of most coffee cups someone would have in their home or you might get at restaurant for instance. It doesn't insulate as well as other double lined cups but for my purpose it works just fine and that's drinking tea or other beverage's. It came in a simple plain card board box and then inside the box was a safety orange mesh bag the cup is stowed in that is obviously cheap but I just tossed it seeing as I have no need for it. I would def purchase this item again along a few other Toaks items I have in mind such as there utensil set and bowl seeing as how where I am now I don't have access to a lot of utensils that are not flimsy plastic.
