I remember the days when projectors were out of reach, cost-wise. So it's great to be able to get a projector around the $100 mark that does the job. This is one of those projectors. It's a great projector for the money. That's why I give it a top rating. No, it's not like having a $400 projector ... but that's not what I paid for. One thing I'd note is that you need to make sure you set it the correct distance for the screen size, since it doesn't have a Zoom feature. Plus in order to watch movies/shows from Prime or Netflix, you need Roku or something similar. That's what we use, and all is well. So ... great projector for the price ... and they do have great customer service, which these days, is a big deal! ... show more

This projector given you a really great picture .I was skeptical at first but watched a football game and I was very impressed with the picture. My only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner.

    • I was pleasantly surprised.
Wanted a projector for the bedroom and figured I'd give this one a try since it was fairly affordable. I was pleasantly surprised when I got it set up and running. It's not the best projector money can buy, but for the price it's honestly very very good. Images are nicely sharp, colors are vivid, sound is loud enough at 20%. The only bad things: - Keystone adjustment only provides a sharp image closer to the middle setting, where the projected image is rectilinear. - The fans are quite loud, although you tune those out after a while. - Sound lacks body. Very loud on the mid range and decent highs. Which is to be expected. - Included projector screen is useless. It's so thin that light goes past it and bounces on the wall behind, creating a double image and loosing a lot of brightness. - Image brightness and colors tend to fade a bit towards the edges, but barely noticeable unless you're looking at a pure white color. - Dust gets in the optical elements fairly easily, but its not too hard to clean them out. I got a separate solid layer pull-down screen and added some custom speakers to remedy some of these problems and it makes me giggle every time we turn it on. Having a 120 inch screen in the bedroom is hilariously awesome. Highly recommend giving it a try! ... show more

    • An OUTSTANDING budget PROJECTOR
This is a great, GREAT projector for the price. This is a budget projector, and my review is based on that fact. I remember when budget projectors were pretty bad. They used to be almost unusable. We now live in a time where a budget projector, under $200, can not only be usable, but a must buy! This specific projector, the TMY (V78 model) 1080p with 120" Screen with 5G Wifi and Bluetooth 5.1, has been on sale for a while now for $99.98, which is a ridiculous price if you ask me. I feel like I'm robbing them. The projector itself looks great. When in use it's bright, the resolution of 1080p is neat, and it's 60fps! Our in-house complex testing / experiment was... Our little one at home tested it first with a game of Fortnite with his XBox Series S connected to it. He finished 1st in the first try. I mean, he didn't finish 1st because the projector made him finish 1st... who am I kidding? He's already very good at Fortnite. But if this wasn't a 1080p + 60fps ptojector, it would've been a lot more difficult for him to secure that win. So there you have it, scientific proof that this projector rocks :) in all seriousness; a great overall projector. The sound is decent, but if you find it lacking, you can connect a bluetooth soundbar / speaker to it. Done! I can't be happier with this projector. Please, don't comapre it with a $3,500 4k one, because that's an unfair fight. but once again, as a budget projector, this is a must buy. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Disclaimer: The projector was provided by TMY for review, but I have received no financial incentive for doing so. There are plenty of these portable LED projectors around, so what sets this one apart? For starters, it is genuinely native 1080p. When centered toward the screen the image is crisp and colorful. I was able to fill my 110" screen with the projector placed only about 6 feet away. While the manual focus and keystone adjustments allow some flexibility in positioning the unit, the edge-to-edge sharpness is best obtained by aiming directly at the center of the screen. The sample video and home screen images I have included were taken with lights off but daylight coming in the window. I wanted to test the brightness of the image in less-than-ideal conditions, and the results were surprisingly pleasing. I would not worry about a washed out image from ambient light outdoors at night. Some budget projectors require nearly total darkness to achieve a watchable picture, but the large lens and powerful LED make this unit more practical for camping or back-yard movie nights -- or indoors almost any time of day. The device is fairly light, but it is indeed larger than most projectors in its price range. All advertised functions work as expected. I could send audio to my Bluetooth speaker (though the onboard speaker is actually quite good), and WiFi screen casting is relatively easy to set up using the on-screen step-by-step instructions. I didn't need the well-written paper manual at all. Buyers should not expect the same performance as high-end models with digital controls and glass lenses. This a budget projector for casual movie viewing, and in that regard it is well worth the discounted price in the $100 range, especially considering the large screen that is included in the carton. The suggested retail price is a bit of an overreach but catch this device on sale or with a coupon and you should be more than satisfied. I have tested many projectors of this ilk, and this is best performer I've seen. ... show more
