I don't think I've ever liked an Amazon order as much as I like this thing. Easy to use, plenty bright for reading, multi-colored LED lighting for a late night party (you know what I mean *brown chicken brown cow*), and nice bird sounds to wake up to (but there are a few sounds to choose from). All for a good price too. This thing replaced my lamp and my crappy alarm clock. I'm in love - I think I've told my wife I love this thing about 20 times already. Helpful hint too: Truly set your alarm for the time you want to wake up. For instance, setting your alarm for 6am means the light turns on at 5:30am at a barely noticeable setting, but then gets to full brightness at 6am, and then the sound comes on, at a lower volume at first, and then plays for 15 minutes. ... show more

I ordered two lights. One for myself and the other for my partner. One stopped working on the second day of use. I returned it. The second light works as described, except for when it gets unplugged. You have to reset the time. Not a lengthy process, but still a pain. To top it off the company hounds you until you give them a review. THEY ENTICE YOU BY PROMISING YOU A $10 AMAZON GIFT CARD. I'm super hesitant buying things like this from Amazon because of the prevalence of fake reviews. I compared a lot of products in this category and ultimately went with this one. Don't need an app, don't need to connect this to your wifi router - it's a plug-in-the-wall device. The plug is a basic cable and mine is not loose at all. The manual is fine for this, and the online instructional video is also helpful (and ultimately what sold me on this.) I love the shape. I love the light settings. It's not too bright for me in the morning. I love that I can change the color of the mood light and freeze the shade I like. I love that I can dim the clock display, or turn it off entirely. I like the sounds and the choice of sounds. I like that you can adjust sound volume, or turn it off entirely. The snooze works great. I would have liked multiple alarm settings, but for this price point, I'm fine with changing the alarm if I need to. I would have liked this to have a backup battery in the event of a power outage, but I have a backup alarm for that. The base of this is sturdy and not slippery. For me, I actually like that the clock buttons are on the bottom of this: I have a 4-year old at home and he would push all the buttons if they were anywhere but on the bottom - so again - for me this is perfect. I've had it for a few days, and so far it works as intended. If this keeps working for the long haul, I'd say this product is a winner. ... show more

    • Spend your money on a smart light bulb instead.
I really wanted to like this light. The unit itself seems decently made and looks cool. The colors are a neat touch. However, when it comes to its intended purpose as a "sunrise simulation" alarm, I was disappointed. Instead of a gradual and smooth increase in brightness to simulate a sunrise, the brightness abruptly stair-steps every couple of minutes. If you're like me and are sensitive to light, you'll find yourself waking up within the first couple of brightness steps instead of having a half hour for your body to gently wake up. It feels more like somebody walking into your room and flipping the light switch than waking up to the sun's first rays peeking through your window. On top of that, the alarm is a bit confusing to set. For the same price or less, you can get a smart light bulb that you can control from your smartphone, has smooth brightness transitions, and has an alarm function that is much easier to set that this. ... show more

I was mainly looking for an alarm clock with nature sounds and this one is really unneccessarily complicated to switch off. there's a tiny button on the bottom of that big thing (next to like 5 other buttons) where you can turn the alarm off. so for my purposes, it was not working. ... show more

Likes: -Easy to use -Wakes up more gently than a regular alarm clock -Bright enough to replace the bedside lamp -Stays set to the correct time and alarm setting even if there's a power disruption Dislikes: -Randomly didn't go off a few times (could have been that we forgot to set it or set it wrong, though unlikely as it is easy to tell if it's set and we really don't forget to set the alarm.) -Realized later that having the ability to set the alarm for two different times would have been nice (but I didn't buy the alarm that had that feature because I didn't think I needed it.) -Resets to 24H clock whenever the power is disconnected. Must manually change it back to the 12H clock. -Doesn't stay on during power outages (once again, I knew that when I bought it.) Killer: -Purchased June 8, 2020. Stopped working January 28, 2021. The only function that works now is the clock and the lamp. The alarm did not go off this morning and the only buttons that work control the brightness of the display and the lamp. I think there's a wire crossed inside because two other buttons now also control the brightness of the display. ... show more

    • Great wake up light
This is a great little wake up light. The slim tower design is much nicer than the bulky phillips lights that I contemplated. Very happy overall and great value for money. Couple things I don't like as much listed below, but overall I would purchase this again as I think it's the best fit for me in terms of design and function. - Light is a cooler white, not a warm white as depicted. Not a big deal but warmer white would be nice in the winter. - For having the rainbow led feature, would have been awesome if it did a sunrise simulation. - Power brick that comes with the device is bulky--not much different than your average phone charger, but since many people will be plugging this in behind their bed or nightstand, having something slimmer would have been a nice touch. On the other hand, I do like that it's a USB connection so you can just pull the plug from the light on the weekend, without having to dig behind furniture. ... show more
