Quality is good and the price is right considering a pair of similar dumbbell handles from Rogue is 4x as expensive. They're dumbbell handles, not much to them. Knurling is nice enough. My Rogue cast iron olympic plates fit fine. The plastic collars that come with these dumbbells are very wide so they really limit how many plates you can fit on each side. I recommend just getting a pair of spring collars to use instead which take up less space and allow you to fit more plates. I can fit two 25lb plates on each side of a handle(100lbs + weight of the bar) and still fit spring collars on the end, but that's pretty much the limit. If you are doing heavy rows or 1 arm stuff, go with the longer dumbbell handles since they can obviously load more weight, but for any kind of pressing with 2 dumbbells at the same time this is the better length since the longer dumbbells will knock into each other when your arms are extended out like at the top of an overhead press or bench press; the shorter length of these allows you to press a pair like normal without messing with your range of motion ... show more

  • Great bang for the buck
I live dumbbells and I miss having a huge rack of 5-120 pound dumbbells I could grab at any time at my local gym. These are not a replacement as far as convenience, but these dumbbells are capable of going up to 67.5 pounds each which is plenty for the vast majority of folks on most lifts. If you need more weight than that then you can always get a longer dumbbell, but doing that may impede your range of motion with some lifts such as dumbbell bench press. However, If you already have Olympic plates im assuming you probably have a barbell bench set up already. Another great pro to these dumbbells is their ability to take a beating. Most of the adjustable dumbbells you can find online cost more and clearly state they can not be dropped. You could probably chuck these off a roof and have no issues. Overall, will these replace a whole rack of dumbbells? No, but it's a fraction of cost and takes up no extra space. ... show more

  • Short, Olympic dumbbells
My apartment complex has a gym with a standard set of fixed-weight dumbbells. But they’re in use, one of the pair is occasionally missing/broken, etc. etc., so I decided to acquire my own. Fixed-weight dumbbells take up a ton of space, have fixed increments, etc., and thought dumbbells with Olympic collars would give me a flexible set up dumbbells now and plate compatibility with a future barbell. These Titan Fitness dumbbells are the shortest option I could find with “Olympic” 2” diameter sleeves. Most other handles are 20” long, which would make a number of traditional dumbbell exercises awkward or even impossible. Because of the short sleeves, you’re obviously going to be limited in terms of how much weight you can put on them. Pair these with narrow clips/collars for maximum usage. You can find smaller clips here on Amazon as well. “Standard” Olympic clips are comically large on these dumbbells. Description says they weigh 8 lbs each, but my digital scale says 8.37 (3.8 kg- so, yeah, a bit odd). ... show more

  • 15" or the 20"
So I read the reviews on these and didn't know what to buy. The 15" or the 20". I ended up buying the 15" first and then the 20" and I'm happy I did. As some of the reviews say you can only put so much weight on the 15" and then the weight slides off. That's true but to buy a set of dumbbells from 10 pounds to 150+ would cost a lot of money. I have a ton of free weights and a good set of dumbbells but still I had some holes as I went up in weight. 10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45,50,55,60,65,70,75,80,85,90 and so on and on adds up. 135 dollars wont buy a lot of dumbbells you lucky if you get two sets but it will buy you both the 15" and the 20". So long story short the 15" for me is good from 8.2 pounds to 58.2 pounds. The bars are 8.2 pounds. After a 25 on each side the weight can start to slide. So then I go to the 20". With the 20" you can put two collars on each side for the really heavy weight 150+ a side and get after it. The collars can't hang off the side at all or they don't hold well. Buy both it's a lot cheaper and I mean a lot cheaper then a full set of dumbbells and with the set you can lift as much or as little as you want for CHEAP. These are awesome for the money. No way would I pay twice this amount for some of the pairs out there. I was worried I wouldn't be able to get alot of weight on them but rest assured that you can get at least 3 10lbs plates on each side. So in total (including the weight of the bar) 70lbs. Thats enough for me. You will need to use wired collars though (the chrome ones). I will also add that If I was going to do anymore weight than that I would just use a barbell. Sure you can put 25s on these but you would loose several inches of range of motion. They are well made. Feels good in the hand. Comes already greesed.   • Lower value compared to other Titan gear
Like the price, dislike the poor machining/tolerance between the bar and collars that results in them rattling during use and gives a "sloppy" (somewhat dangerous) feeling. For the price point they are fine, but had I known what I was getting I would have probably shelled out another $100 because this is a piece of equipment that gets a LOT of use.. Handle part itself is also a little disproportionate, there is a full 1.5-2 inches on either side of my hand closed around the handle and I don't have little hands. That equals 2-3" of lost ROM that is already limited by virtue of the implement itself. I own a lot of TITAN stuff and is a great brand, will continue to buy Titan regardless but they just missed the mark on these. ... show more
