The main reason you should not buy this kit. It has brushed motors. This types of motors are foung in bottom of the scum pond systems. Get a few $$ more and buy one with brushless. Now the cons. Batteries: Batteries give you 3-5 minutes of flight. Battery connection (proprietary) is unique to this brand and even model. I could not find it in digikey. If you want to buy better batteries you need to replace the connector on the drone or the new batteries. You can only recharge the batteries with the provided charger. Not a fast charger. Flight/learning curve: it is fast and responsive. It will not hover and stay put. It will drift in any direction. It will not hold altitude. And these issues is what takes me to the worst of these cheap drone. Btw I’m reviewing the Tinyhawk lite. Betaflight. Do not use the current Betaflight. You need to go to GitHub and luck help you find the correct version. Use any version after that old one and you lose your drone. First you connect to the drone. Auto find the firmware version. Update firmware and your drone is trash. Can revert because to version you got does not get backed up even if it tells you it did. So you contact support. They send you a firmaware. You flash it and tsssss… smoke. Your esps in the all in one board are fried. It goes into a ziplock bag. I will try to u the picture. Control. Is not erls. It is a tech that barely any drone uses not even other emax models that I know off. Of course I bought another model bop and no way to connect. That’s when I knew I was f. Returned the new drone. I had to fight with Amazon for the refund because emax Texas said I sent the wrong item. Not true. Anyway this kit has a radio that will not work with contemporary models. Price. Seriously for about $20-$100 you can get a plethora of models that are brushless and radio tech that is compatible. Support: Until the date my drone ended up in pieces inside a plastic bag there was no support on any website. They were present in the store but support had no firmware on site. Opening a ticket for support got me a response after long days perhaps a week plus. I can’t remember how long but the amount of anxiety of those days. Pros: it looks great as a gift. IMHO IS NOT A GREAT GIFT THO. Support answered me. After days and with an esp boiling version. Video is still compatible and salvageable. I think. Anyway you don’t pay for what it is worth. You pay more. $179 for a lite paper weight or thrash in a bag. ... show more

    • Sturdy and flys well, excellent for a novce!
Bought this for my grandson to use instead of my home‑built quads with all their complexities, and I was amazed at how quickly he picked it up. By the third battery pack he was already flying it in full FPV instead of just watching the screen. I’ve been in RC for over 50 years and I still can’t fly FPV, so that really impressed me. The quad has held up extremely well. The only issue we had was losing a prop in one of the early crashes, but the spare went on easily and it’s been perfect ever since. We’ve had it for over two months now with zero problems. It also flies outdoors very well with no issues so far. For the money, it’s a great deal, and everything you need is in the box—other than an extra battery, which I highly recommend picking up, and maybe a another set of props. Seemed great at first. Stopped working within a day. Not enough power to take off even with charged battery. Potential here if they can get them working right. Returned.

Nice little drone but the battery connector WILL break with their OWN batteries. They should do something to beef up their method of connection.

Poor customer service. Joystick on the receiver broke a month in and they do not respond to any messages and there is no phone number. I will never order from this company again Emax seems to have zero customer service
