  • Great Watch Gets Unwelcome Downgrade
Color: White
I've loved and worn Women's Ironmans for years. I bought this new one because my old Timex finally gave out on a surf trip to Central America. I love the alarm, multi-time, and especially the Indiglo functions so that you know what time it is anywhere and at any hour. My major complaint about this Timex is that they really cheapened the band, so you can feel as soon as you take it out of the box that it is going to break sooner rather than later. Instead of a high grade rubber that will withstand heavy use and activity, this is a cheap hard plastic that will likely crack with minimal use. The design of the watch means that it will be impossible to switch out a broken band with a new one. Timex wins twice over - it breaks sooner, and you need a new watch (not just a band) sooner. Hugely disappointed. ... show more

  • Fine for a man (with skinny wrists)
Color: Black/Gray
I have an older mens ironman which has gotten a little beat up and needs replacing. The band is much longer than I need. The metal clasp sits off-center on the underside of my wrist, closer to the part of my wrist which curves around to the front. The too-long strap sometimes flops around and catches on things. I couldn't find a smaller-band mens version, so I tried this "womens" watch (picking the most manly-looking one, of course). I like it better. The band fits my wrist much better, with the metal band in the middle and no flop. I also like that the watch is lighter and the face and band are smaller and less bulky, so it is less noticeable when I'm wearing it (cycling weight weenies will appreciate this). The face is still large enough to be easily legible and contains all of the same great features as my mens ironman watch, plus the newer versions now have an hourly chime, nice! Other info: my wrist is ~17.5cm or ~7.0" around. On this watch, I use the 6th out of 9 slots on the band. On my mens ironman, I use the 3rd out of 9 slots. Weight: this one = 28g, mens = 39g. Pics show comparison of my prior mens ironman with this new "womens" ironman. Photo order is confusing (couldn't figure out how to change that). They are: (1) side-by-side, mens on left, (2) mens band (wider and clasp is off-center on my wrist, end of band hangs over the edge of my wrist -- too long for me -- catches on things), (3) womens band (less wide, clasp is more centered on my wrist and end does hang over edge of my wrist), (3) womens watch (smaller, and looks new), and (5) mens watch, looking a little beat up. ... show more

  • I bought this watch as a gift for my daughter ...
Color: Black/Lime
I bought this watch as a gift for my (11-year-old) daughter. Within a few months of normal use (she didn't even wear it for swimming), it started fogging up. I followed the process for sending it in for repair under the one year warranty indicated on this site, but haven't received any communication or the watch back, and it has been over a month at this point. There's no phone number to call and no website to contact, so it would appear that I'm now out nearly $43. UPDATE: Shortly after I submitted the above review, the watch *did* arrive back from being "repaired." Unfortunately, it still fogs up from regular use (like being in the shower, for instance), and there was a bill for $8 with the returned watch (apparently for the cost of the "repair"). So, basically, I spent roughly $8 to ship it for repair, mailed a $7 check along with the watch as per repair instructions, and was billed an additional $8 on top of that....all to receive back a watch that doesn't work any better than it did when I sent it in (other than that the Indiglo feature, which had stopped working, now works again). So disappointing...especially for my daughter. I'd love to have a way to contact Timex directly about this! ... show more

  • wonderful product!
Color: White
This is the third Timex watch that I have purchased and I love them all! I work as a nurse and have a dedicated watch to wear to work and decided that I loved it so much that I wanted one for my daily life as well. I settled on this white watch and then sadly lost it when I took it off for swimming. This is my replacement and it works wonderfully. I find that this watch is relatively easy to program (but not a breeze, really no electric watch is that easy) and that it tends to hold out for a long time. The only negative of this watch is that I have found the white banding does get discolored over time to a sort of grey color. This does not bother me as I tend to like grey, but I could see how this would be a deal breaker for some buyers. All in all, it is a great watch and I could not live without it! I do my best to provide detailed reviews to other Amazon customers so they may make informed decisions. • Disappointed, Not Waterproof as Other Ironman Watches
Color: Pink/Gray Texture
I am a longtime Ironman watch wearer - I try to wear them until they wear out - which usually takes a year two with constant wear, including in the shower and while swimming. I specifically choose these watches because I don't have to take it off around water. Unfortunately, I have not owned this watch for two months yet, and it is already fogged up on the face so that it is difficult to read. I hope that this is just a lemon and not true for the brand, but I am very disappointed. Sadly, I am just out of the 30 day Amazon return window, but obviously my expectation was to use this watch much longer. ... show more

  • Within 8 weeks Indiglo (light) stopped working
Color: White
I purchased this watch 2 months ago (July 23, 2017) & 2 weeks ago the Indiglo function (it lights the watch face) stopped working. This light function is important to me because I run in the early morning when it's dark & it allows me to see the time and run splits. I just got off the phone with Timex customer service and I have to send my watch to Timex to be repaired which will cost me $8 and take 2-4 weeks. A watch that stopped functioning properly within 8 weeks of purchase should be replaced by the manufacturer. I've bought countless Timex women's Ironman watches dating back to probably 1990. Normally, after a few years the straps break or the battery dies (neither are easy to replace - either finding replacement straps or battery plus having the necessary screwdriver) and sometimes the light stops working, and I fully expect to buy a new watch in those situations. But I don't expect to have a problem with a 2 month old watch. And I certainly don't expect to be without a watch for 2-4 weeks plus pay $8 for it. ... show more
