Wearing mine right now. As a matter of fact, only take it off if I have to. This watch keeps excellent time and is perfect for me. Yes it's big, but my eyes are not what they used to be. I would always use Casio watches, but I have found myself really having a hard time seeing the time. I started relying on my phone more and more, until now. This watch was very easy to set up compared to my Casio, and I have no problem seeing the time, day or night. This is a rugged watch as well. I am an out door kind of person and always getting myself into situations I shouldn't. This watch has taken all I have dished out and never missed a beat. It's big, but looks great! Easy to see, day, or night! Easy set up, and perfect for the outdoorsman. The only thing that I don't care for to much is the band. Not bad, but not great. I think I will be swapping it out for a Para cord wrist band. Just have to figure out where to get one for this watch. Anyway, all in all, a great watch and I highly recommend getting one if you have a hard time seeing close. ... show more

I've worn Timex watches for years because of their decent price and durability. The last watch I had was the T49612 and I really liked that watch. This watch was a little cheaper and had the vibrating alarm function that wouldn't disrupt meetings or church. I run a large farming and ranch operation and needed a watch that is easy to read and won't be destroyed from daily work. The faceplate isn't protected as well as other Timex watches I've had and I'm afraid it will get scratched up while working on tractors or working cattle. The band isn't as beefy as the T49612's so I'm skeptical of how long it will hold up. I'm not a huge guy and this watch doesn't seem too bulky or oversized for my wrist. I'll update this review as time passes. Update: Been wearing this watch daily for almost a year now. Only recommendation I have is to make sure it's protected when welding. I have a bunch of burn marks on the face of the watch. The band is still holding up like new. I do wish that the vibration was a little stronger, sometimes I don't feel it if I'm on the tractor or driving through the fields. Still a great watch. ... show more

This is a nice watch. Not too big. Looks nice. Unfortunately the one I received had been returned by someone else. The box was torn in several places and the watch had dirt/smudges on the back from wearing. The plastic protector for the face didn't peel off like a new watch. Other reviewers had similar comments. The watch is just so dim! I have to look at the watch for several seconds to tell the time when indoors but I have to use the indigo light 99% of the time just to tell what time it is when I am in a normal to low-lit place. Outdoors is better. However, what good is a watch if you can't read the time when inside??? (The one I ordered was - Color: Black/Negative - Numerals are yellowish green). I had opted to return this one and purchase a different model - (the Color: Black/Positive). Hoping there is enough contrast to read the time without using a backlight. I believe Timex had an opportunity to make a great watch for the $. However, TIMEX couldn't seem to get the contrast correct with the lighter numbers and dark background. A few good things are: The watch has some heft (weight) to it and programming seems rather intuitive. Hope my review helps save you some time. (Pic to the left - is inside the house at my desk with a lamp and the pic to the right is the time just after pushing the indigo light). To me - this is a "No-Brainer." Watch closely at some of the USN SEAL training videos on your smart TV. The movie tactical STARS team on Resident Evil 1, and what are they all wearing? A Timex. Myself personally, I'm a stickler for accuracy, but I don't want to wear a Swiss watch where it will get too beat up. This Timex piece accuracy was observed to be -4 seconds per month when measured against Atomic Clock Time. That pretty darn accurate for a digital watch! It's rugged, will take a beating, and accurate. What's not to like! Features wise, it has a chronometer, and counts down for those critical missions where rendezvous points matter. Has an insane amount of alarms for multiple times during the day(maybe a work shift reminder), vibrate or beep. Yes, the watch vibrates. The watch has a sort of memory that brings the most used features closer to the menu as you scroll to use them, unlike other watches that force you to go through the whole menu to get to what you want. This watch is great for anything that has to do with keeping time or counting time. And the Timex quality goes much further on accuracy and water "proof" than those trendy watches from Japan. And I did end up buying another Timex Q, being impressed with this watch. ... show more
