  • Really nice watch for the money
Color: Tan/Gunmetal/Gray
The media could not be loaded. Full Disclosure: I bought this watch during Amazon’s Prime Day. The price I paid for it may not be reflective of its current price on Amazon. First off, I done a complete 180 degrees in my watch collection(Budget watch collection that is). I’ve reverted back to quartz and solar for my current watches. I have only one moderately price automatic in my collection. Back to the watch, it wears well on my 6 3/4” wrist. The leather strap is above average for watches in this price point. The watch face in closer to dark gray than full black. The dial has printed numbers and text with a date window in the 3 O’clock position. However the chapter ring is elevated and slightly sloped towards the dial to give this watch face a sense of depth. The numbers and 5 second hashed are luminous and are easy to read. Likes: Super quiet and reliable solar quartz movement Second hand is aligned properly to every minute marker. Dial is easy to read with some very nice design elements . Leather strap is better than average Dislikes: ( take with a grain of salt considering the value) Crown is pressed in like many Timex quartz watches. Not that you would have to replace the battery anytime soon but water resistance is limited to 50m . Lume is good but not great . At first the 5 second markers and hands are bright. The hands outlast the markers by a wide margin. No Indiglo feature like quartz battery only watches. This is probably due to draw of this feature. Overall, this is a perfect everyday knock around watch. It should give you years of reliable service with great accuracy. A really nice solar option ... show more

  • Beauty and comfortable, must be charged
Color: Tan/Gunmetal/Gray
It's a very comfortable and good looking watch, mine arrived discharged so it needs several sun hours next day to begin it's movement

  • Disappointing
Color: Tan/Gunmetal/Gray
Overall this isn't a bad watch for price but as an everyday watch it has some disappointing shortcomings. It's nice looking although the gun metal gray is really more of a dark bronze color. The leather band doesn't hold up to getting wet and started to look beat up rather developing a patina like good leather. I replaced it with a silicone strap. The hr/min/sec hands are nearly the same gray color as the face and the lume is terrible. So it's very hard to read in low light. ... show more

  • Great value
Color: Tan/Gunmetal/Gray
Looks great and works great. Super comfortable flexible band. A lot nicer than a solar Casio in my opinion.

  • Moisture after a couple years...
I loved this watch and it gave me a couple years of flawless service. This weekend, I swam in a lake and later noticed moisture under the glass (see picture). This watch was super durable, always kept time, stayed charged thanks to solar, and didn't pick up any huge scratches despite me wearing it nonstop while wrenching on bikes, my truck, and stuff around the house. Did I get my money out of it? Yes...but I'm still a little disappointed that it gave up the ghost after a light swim. ... show more

  • Good Value
This is my second solar watch after my first Service Merchandise solar watch bit the dust a short while ago. As some are aware, Service Merchandise went out of business many years ago. My Service Merchandise solar watch had radium type illuminating minute and hour hands as well as illuminating markers at each number on the clock face. All illumination points were visible long after the watch was moved from light to dark. Though I saw reviews of my new Timex solar watch stating the markers next to the numbers illuminate in addition to the minute and hour hands, it appears only the minute and hour hands illuminate. Also the illumination on my new Timex watch doesn't seem to last as long in the dark as with my previous watch. Apart from the illumination disappointment in dark conditions, I like the simple but effective design of the watch and the cloth style wrist straps that don't take long to dry after getting wet. I was looking for a simple watch that was similar to my previous solar watch without bells and whistles I wouldn't use anyway . This watch checks the boxes as low maintenance, with its simple design and comfortable to wear. I chose the green watch face not because I liked it better than the other available colors, but because Amazon only showed the comfortable cloth style wrist band available for that color face. Not sure the marketing reason for Timex to mix the wrist band materials for the same product. ... show more

  • Nice watch
Color: Tan/Gunmetal/Gray
I moved on this because I like Timex Expeditions and this was a solar for a really good price. I have 6-7 other Expeditions and just expected this to be Indiglo as well, it sadly is not. I'm sure it has to do with that draining the battery too quickly as its solar. Other than that disappointment, its a handsome watch that works well. ... show more
