  • Brand New. Like the watch
Just got it in today. Looks and feels great. I will post in the future on any updates. The watch looks and feels very well made. It’s not too heavy, and easily read. The Date window is pretty small. The watch band is very comfortable and seems durable. I absolutely Love the Luminous button, which looks great in low and dark lighting. This watch is the 40mm case size, which is the smallest watch I’ve ever owned. I have always bought much larger watches, i.e. 46mm and larger. So I am still getting used to the smaller watch, but it still is a great size. I’ve done a ton of research, and bought many watches, so this one seemed to have a lot of great reviews. I will update my review, whether good or bad, in the future. Because I know how hard it is to find a good watch, for a decent price nowadays. So far, songood ... show more

  • Solid watch, solid band
A few people have noticed that this watch is loud- and yes in a dead quiet room you will hear it tick. My only complaint is the manual date wheel - you obviously have to set this yourself each month. But that’s the choice when you get this watch vs a digital watch. I have very big wrists and this fits me just fine. Hasn’t lost any time. Came in a small box with a pull tab on the battery. Waterproof essentially unless you use the buttons underwater. Easy to read quickly. If something happens to this one, I’ll probably buy another. ... show more

  • Nice watch, nice price!
It's a Timex, I just need it to tell time. Never have the phone when I need it, love the watch on my wrist. And I get to see it in the dark, it lights right up.

  • Nice watch, but extremely loud
Love the look of it. Great everyday watch, light works amazing. Only caveat is that it's by far the loudest watch I have. I work from home and when my hands are at my keyboard I hear it ticking. Don't have this with any other watch I own (including a Timex waterbury dive chrono so it's not all Timex watches) ... show more

  • Timex Expedition watches
This is my second Expedition watch. I bought it simply because it came in denim blue to go with the jeans I wear nearly every day. The dial is big and readable, the hands stand out, and the crown is big and easy to grasp for accurate setting. So far, it is keeping time very accurately. Timex's Phillipines-made brass-case watches are simple and dependable. I have seen some with chronograph-style buttons; I can't vouch for all the extra bells and whistles. But the simple time-only or time-and-date watches are a good value. ... show more

  • Poor reliability/will not last long.
EDIT TO REDUCE MY RATING. Quality is terrible and customer service is horrible. After the light on my watch stopped working two months into owning it, I reached out to Timex to see about getting it repaired. They told me it would take 4 months. They also wanted me to pay to ship the watch and to pay a warranty service fee. THE WATCH DIDN'T LAST 2 MONTHS AND THEY WANTED ME TO PAY TO FIX IT. They offered me a discount code on another watch. What a joke, stay away. I won't buy another timex. *Original review* Quality control appears to be lacking. The first one I ordered did not work at all, I got a replacement. The replacement seemed fine for the first two months. I'm approaching my third month of owning this watch and now the indigo light does not work at all. The watch is still ticking, I just can't light it up anymore. The band is also fading. If you want this watch to wear as a one off thing, go for it, but if you want to wear it regularly don't expect it to last long. ... show more

  • Plain, Simple, Accurate
I have a thing for watches but whenever I buy an expensive watch something on it will break and I'm left with a useless device. This watch has been the most accurate and tough time keeper that I've purchased in a long while. It has barely lost a second since I set its original time. The light is useful but I've not used it very often. The dial is easy to read and includes military time. It's easy to set the date without having to spend endless time rotating the stem. Finally, the watchband is understated, stylish, and tough and if I need to repair it I can easily find another standard band. ... show more

  • Worked for about a year and a half
I had this watch for about a year and a half. Loved how it looked. Time keeping was fine. I'm really hard on them. Constant water use. Swimming in them. Showering in them. Basically never take it off. The light went out after about a year. After about a year and a half, it started getting water in it. I took it apart to dry it out, but had to have a jewler put it back together (there's a special press to do it). Eventually the water resistance problem became too much and it quit working. I discussed this with my jeweler guy, and he said that the best watches are the same way. That while they say "water resistance", unless its a dive watch, you're going to run into the same thing. He suggested taking it off everytime it would get wet. I'm not going to do that. So i'm going to keep buying cheap watches ever year or two or three, and keep running through them. Works for me. ... show more
