  • Timex Quality is still awesome!
Great watch. Timex quality is awesome. Like the velcro wach band. Very comfortable. Looks great, and love the indigo nightlight. Also face is glow in the dark. Easy to change time and date. Also has the 24 hr times. Very happy with the cost.

  • Classic watches that are stylish and affordable.
What can I say....I love Timex. This is my 9th Expedition. I'm not a watch snob. I like having a variety of color and styles to mix it up. And I can afford at these prices. But they look great and do the job. I hope to get one of the Waterbury models which pay tribute to when they were made in the US. But the one I want is $105, which is still not an expensive watch. On this current model, I changed the band out for a slip through style so I can change colors......but the stock band is really nice as well. ... show more

  • Best watch I have owned in this price range
I have had this watch for about a week. It is easy to read, keeps perfect time, and seems very durable. It is so light that I can hardly feel it on my wrist.

  • I needed awatch that would be quite light to wear
I needed a watch that would be quite light to wear, could survive kayaking, preferably didn't have a metal case, and a band that wouldn't trap water against my wrist. I also have a preference for a minimum of buttons on my watch which lead me to avoid the digital offerings from Timex. This was the result of my search. I have put it through some trials, and here are my results. Weight - Quite light on the wrist, really you can forget you are wearing it. I wore it for three days straight on a camping trip and was never bothered by it's presence. Water resistance - Took it kayaking, and not a problem at all. Band - Wicks up water, and doesn't trap it against your skin. Really the most comfortable watch band I've ever had, and the only one not to rip out any arm hair. Light - Just perfect, enough to read the time clearly, not enough to screw up your night vision. Now I did encounter one problem. For enhanced durability testing I wore it to a massive open air metal festival because I wanted to make sure I didn't miss any set times for any bands I wanted to see, and never failed to jump into any mosh pit I laid my eyes on. On day 2, during the 5th band I moshed for the watch stopped. It was a good two hours before I realized this and nearly missed a band because of it. I checked, the crown was all the way in and the watch was not running. I pulled the crown all the way out, pushed it all the way in, gave it a good whack and it started right up. After that I moshed through the sets of both Obituary and Napalm Death and it hasn't missed a single second. To summarize, for camping, kayaking, and moderate physical impact it's perfect. However if you join me in the middle of a group of metal heads, screaming that if they don't perform the wall of death you will personally take each of them to the ground? Check it after the set. ... show more

  • I am all done with Timex products.
Timex is not the company it used to be. I have worn Timex watches for 50 years or more. They used to be great watches. I was a big fan of the Indiglo series as I liked to be able to check my watch at night. My last good one died after more than 20 years of daily use. The last two Timex Indiglo watches I have purchased both died within a couple of months. The first was a battery eater. I replaced the battery twice and both times it went dead within days or a few weeks. The second watch quit functioning within six weeks. It just did not run anymore and it was not the battery as the screen still fully lights up. O.K. so that's bad products. But the character of the company really shows up when it comes to their warranty. You have to research to find their warranty terms and when found the warranty instructs you to send the watch to an authorized Timex Service Center. Now, try to find one of those. Any company that makes it that hard for you to apply their warranty does not want you using it and is no longer worthy of your business. I am all done with Timex products. Sad, they used to be a great company. Edit: I kept following up trying to find a place to get this fixed. Timex finally came clean that they actually do not have any "Authorized Service Centers." I did get a response and this was the full text of that response: "Thank you for reaching out. I just want to set your expectations that we do not have any Timex outlets as of the moment. If you wish to send you watch to us for repair & servicing, it will be shipped to our headquarters and from there it will be transported to our main manufacturing site in the Philippines. Before we proceed, could you please provide us with the following information to check if we can still service your watch? 1. Watch style number (the alpha-numeric characters on the back of the watch that start with T or TW) 2. A clear and up-close picture of the front and back of the affected item 3. A brief description of the issue you're experiencing 4. Proof of purchase in the form of a receipt or order number. If out of warranty, when was the watch purchased? 5. Shipping address Once we have this information, we'll verify whether your watch is covered under our warranty and will reach back out to you shortly for further assistance." ... show more

  • Nice watch
I will get used to the velcro strap, I prefer velcro over regular bands. The second hand does not line up with the second marks. You have to pull the pin out Hard to change/update the time, which scares me. I had a Timex where the pin came all the way out of the watch. Cringe. The illumination is not as good as the Timex Indiglo- I am let down by this. 4/18/25 I got used to the struggle of putting on the velcro strap onto my wrist quickly. The Timex Field Watch is losing one second a day. The indiglo function is almost worthless. All aside, the is making a very good affordable every day work watch. ... show more

  • Simple, reliable watch for a good price
I'm approaching six decades on this planet, and while I certainly don't know it all, I have come to believe that simple is often the best solution to many things in life. Watches are a good example of this. I've been through a number of watches in my lifetime, often getting seduced by fancy features and flashy designs that I never actually use and/or don't really matter. What does matter in a watch is reliability, ease of reading, comfort, durability, and price. This Timex fits the bill on all of these factors. It's just a good, simple, reliable watch that is reasonably priced. Definitely recommended. ... show more
