  • Great little watch
Color: Black/Silver-Tone/White
I love this watch. I just needed something simple for work. We cannot wear smart watches due to security. I work in a jail. I did not want to spend a lot of money because off duty I wear my Fitbit. It has a leather band, which I love, and is of good quality. Can't beat the price. Simple let stylish. You cant go wrong with a Timex. ... show more

  • Good, inexpensive watch
Color: Black/Silver-Tone/White
Keeps excellent time, very easy to read although, as others have said, the date is essentially invisible. I don't care as all I wanted was an easy to read watch-I generally know what day it is. The watch band is substantial and is initially quite stiff and loosens up nicely with use. Nice looking. Very glad I purchased this. ... show more

  • This is my favorite watch
Color: Black/Silver-Tone/White
So easy to read. As a tennis instructor, you can't be looking at your watch all the time. A quick glance and I know the time- the second is great for timing drills and exercises, without it being obvious

  • Needed an easy to read watch for my dad to wear while working outside!
Color: Black/Silver-Tone/White
I purchased this for my 70 year old father who likes to have a watch on while working out in his yard. It needed to be inexpensive but durable and easy to read without him having to put on his reading glasses. It's perfect for his needs!

  • Owned two color options for 5-10+ years. Reliable daily watch.
Color: Brown/Gold-Tone/Cream
I've owned a silver-case Easy Reader for at least 10 years, and got a gold-case ER about 6 years ago. Overall, they're still great after all these years. Along with a Weekender for, you guessed it, weekends, these were the only watches I owned for more than a decade, and wore one of them basically every day until very recently. The date window finally breaking on just one of my 3 Timex watches has been my excuse to finally upgrade a couple. These ERs are the most reliable workhorses you can ask for at that price, if somewhat lacking a more sophisticated style. The silver case was the first 'adult' watch I got at roughly 18 years old. It can be dressed up and dressed down even better than an Expedition. With a 35mm case, it looks natural on any small to medium sized wrist (for men not into bulky watches like me, it won't feel too small). The indiglo works great on the silver case, and the date window still works. My only issue with it (and I feel this more now than when I was ~20) is, unlike the gold face, it looks like the price I paid for it. It's almost too minimalist. I liked the silver case so much I got another one, a gold case, to match my brown belts. This one can definitely look natural on your wrist in business casual or even a suit. The font of the numerals is more elegant looking, and the gold hands also give it a dressier look. It's great with khakis or jeans and loafers. After 6 years, however, the date window just stopped working. That's unfortunate, but I'd still call it a 4-star watch given the price. There are so many pros of these watches and few cons. They keep time great. The fact is, since they have date windows, you're going to be setting them 7 times a year (including DST). So any review you see that says they lost time after a year or something -- who cares? They keep time perfect, from what I could tell, on the time scale that matters. The indiglo works well on the silver-case but is a little dim on the gold case. Not a huge problem. The quartz movement (i.e. battery powered) is a great for people who aren't watch nerds. Manual watches have to be set every day and automatic watches need to be sit on the shelf no more than 40ish hours or else you have to set them too. I haven't tested the water resistance to 30 meters, but I wouldn't use this as a sport watch. I will say, however, that splashing water while doing dishes or getting caught in a downpour has never been a problem for any Timex I've owned. So I'd say unless you plan on intentionally submerging a Timex Easy Reader (why?) you're good on water resistance. The construction is good on these too. I'm neither especially clumsy nor the least clumsy person ever, and I've never broken the lens or even cracked it. Any scratches that are there must not be noticeable. One mixed review here: the time is very easy to set for the silver-case ER, but annoyingly slow for the gold case. Not a huge issue. Before Covid I would just adjust it for DST or short months while I rode the metro to work and had a few minutes with nothing to do. Now the date doesn't matter. Goodbye. ... show more

  • GREAT AFFORDABLE WATCH
Color: Black/Silver-Tone/White
I purchased this watch at the beginning of this year for my first in-person semester in college. After 5 months, I have to say this watch is righteous. I changed the leather strap for a NATO strap because I have very small wrists, needed more sizing options, and wanted it to be more flexible and comfortable. The lugs were easy to remove and put back on. I don't recommend wearing this watch in the water being fully confident that no water will seep into the case because it's pretty cheap and there's always a possibility things can go wrong. What I will say is that, in my experience, the watch is built very well. I celebrated the 4th of July by going to the beach but forgot to take off my watch. After an hour and a half in the salt water, I realized I was still wearing my watch. When getting out and inspecting it I found that no water seeped into the case and it was completely fine. 10/10 experience. The built-in light however broke within the first 2 months of having the watch. I never really used it, but it is a bummer that it no longer works. 2/10 experience. ... show more

  • Simple and functional
Color: Black/Silver-Tone/White
Watch is durable, easy to read, and keeps good time. Have been complimented on it several times - I think folks are unused to seeing a simple watch these days. Matches jeans and a tshirt as well as suit and tie.
